  • I should say...500 questions to mark before tomorrow...and will be out all day tomorrow with DD1's par-tay. Also have to get ahead Sun-Mon-Tues as DH has his exam meeting on Weds and then we are away Thurs and Fri, so actually I might be paying for wifi in the hotel Thurs night to catch up!!

The deadline is next Sunday to complete all the marking.

Hope the funeral goes as well as it could be. I have never met a family yet that doesnt have one or two people that try and ruin or even run things. I hope you can tell her straight without sounding too harsh

Leaving that to DH, he will prob leave it too late and then she will chuck another almighty tantrum, but that is his decision.

I have warned him he needs to manage expectations a bit.

  • Been out all day with 5 children, from 10 am until 6. Went to see Tangled in 3D which was excellent. DD2 had a ginormous tantrum and so was removed before film had even started.

I am totally exhausted, and my back hurts.

Hopefully worth it though, think DD1 enjoyed it. DD2 is having another tantrum as she doesn't like wet, and she is in the bath.

Blissful 2 days (so far at least) with no phone calls of doom from SIL.

Good to see you're bearing up, but try to remember your limits being 8 months pregnant and rest when you can.

Thanks. I'm pretty depressed by my mum giving me a lecture and saying DH should go out for dinner while I languish in a hotel room on thurs. My immediate response is "why the hell should I?" We will be with SIL all afternoon and all the following morning...

But now I feel guilty and depressed as well!

eta and actually...whinge whinge...the only people giving me any leeway for being pg are you guys and people at work. No-one at home seems to give a monkey's bum, and they seem to expect me to carry on service as usual.

    Whinge whinge.

Well I have been up all night with DD2, and when she wasn't up it was DD1 with her asthma, so staying home with them today.

Also my back is bad again, so I will have to keep moving.

Will try to find some of the floor today.

    eta

trying to get a list together...

    iron DH's good white shirt
try on outfit for same event
decide whether to start DD1 on the steroids for her asthma
    washing
tidy up, there is carp everywhere - the deal is when one of us is marking, the other one does it all, but DH has (understandably in the circs) been doing the basic minimum, and that is the basic minimum in "man land".

  • One load of washing done, and some clothes put away. Hoping the DDs will have a snooze this afternoon.

  • I hope the day at home is more restful than a day at work at least. Sorry the kids are not well. Hope they nap for you, and it sounds like you need one too, but i bet you won't.

I would still have most of the tidying up to do too when marking. The only thing i can rely on DH to do is cook and wash up in a crisis, and he can chuck toys in a box and run a hoover round, but it has to get really bad. Otherwise i am sure he has blinkers on to the rest of it.
His crowning moment was last year when he brought a load of washing down and went to put the machine on and then had to ask me how to use it. :o

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

That cheered me up! Have taken paracetamol just now, and am timing my quick wash on the machine, it's over 25 min now, and no sign of stopping...

Just baby steps today. Second load of washing is on.
