  • Just meeting myself coming back. The bright side is any pregnancy symptoms are going unnoticed, which must have been what it was like in the "olden days"!!

I have done 1400 questions and have to do another 2000 by Sunday!!

  • Sounds like you are making good progress. Hope things are easier now DH is back.
  • We are still waiting to hear if we will have a body to have a funeral with...long story.

  • OK, well...NSD today, loads of marking to do. The funeral drama is sorted, happy day tomorrow with haircuts and ballet. Sunday is DD's birthday do, 4 8 year olds and a 3 year old to the cinema!!

  • 1000 answers to mark by tomorrow, had hair cut and streaked (long overdue since last done October!) girls had haircuts. Finally put in cheques to bank, prescription repeats and posted a book I had promised to sexymouse.

Managed to get provisions for the cinema, with £3 luncheon vouchers and £7 nectar points.

SIL has decided what we all need after getting up at 5am, driving for minimum 5 hours and then spending afternoon and prob early evening at a funeral is a big meal out in the evening. And me 8 months pregnant. She has zero empathy.

DH and I will probably want to crawl into bed.

  • Does she have kids herself at all? She sounds like an absolute control freak. Every family seems to have one.

If you need to go to bed hun, you tell her you need to go to bed. I am worried that you are going to be stretching yourself far too thin. How long till mat leave now?

Glad there was a bit of pampering with the hair cut in there.

    Progress not Perfection
  • She wants her own way and has no comprehension how it is for anyone else. She doesn't work full time, her youngest is 16, she isn't pregnant and wouldn't dream of driving on a motorway, nevermind for 5-7 hours, she will not have got up at 5 am, so she isn't bothered about anyone else.

Anyway, DH is going to have to tell her no, its a stupid idea anyway, he will be exhausted and emotionally drained by 7pm on the day as well, the only way to mask that is getting plastered, and since he has a load of stuff to do early on the Friday, that's not happening.

Also, it costs us £200 every time we go in diesel and a hotel room, and incidentals so we can't afford to go out for a meal, the rare times we do go, I want it to be with people we have chosen to be with IYSWIM?

Anyway, I have just conked out for an hour, DD2 is running a temp to add to our joy, and I've sent DH up for a sleep as he is grey faced with exhaustion.

Good thing I got my hair done, might cover the extra grey hairs I have gained this week!!
