It is good that he did go, if it were me I would be thinking there was something wrong with him if he didnt go. It would be a cold person that didnt. It is done and he'll soon be back to you.

Thanks pammy he's home and he did the right thing, and I will be able to go and support him at the funeral.
He's gone back to work, which is so typical. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
GFH - Is work the best place for him??? Does he need to keep his mind off things or is he putting off having to think about things??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I always find it weird how quickly things have to go to normal after a bereavement, but i guess there is still work to do, a house to run, children to look after. The world does not stop even for a day.
Glad he is now back with you though and you can support each other through it.0 -
He is being a typical man. Lots of emotion is showing through, but at home he will just sit and think. So long as no-one at work is nice to him, he will be ok!
Head has given me the two days off for the funeral, which is really kind.
I finally caught up with the midwife, she gave me her home number, bless her, so I could arrange my next appointment. I have missed one, but as I'm well it doesn't matter.
I'm considering a little investment in a frock for the funeral, since MIL is NOT a woman who would want even in-laws turning up looking like a bag of spanners.
NSD, unless the frock wins, and actually it's not as £8 spent on wrapping and card for DD'b birthday.

Well the frock won, and £125 on groceries, including DD1's birthday tea and cake. She was pleased with her presents so far, and no parcel from the XH, so as well as being crap he lied to her. Classy.
Bit of drama today about funeral maybe being rearranged, but looks like is ok now.
I have to crack on with the marking and get ahead with that. 3400 questions by Sunday!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Exhausting day at work, drama over funeral arrangements continues. DH not in a good way.
Looking forward to getting home and the smalls in bed. I won't be on later prob as up to my ears in marking...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
