HAPPY DAYS!!!!
Now go and put your feet up, run a long, hot & bubbly bath and chill...you really have well and truly earned a rest
(sorry to hear about your ex work colleague's son )"A smile takes but a moment...

Yay...yeah scary about the boy/man. He would have grown up in our village too, though before my time here. Should net £500 ish...DH is now madly beavering away though. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Glad you have finished. I think you need some rest tonight too. It will be a long week otherwise. Especially if you have all the home stuff to do. I didn't know till last week your DH is a teacher too. I don't know how you work that, although hols must be good to all be off together.0

He is a solicitor-turned-college-lecturer, so their hours and term dates are a bit different, and he only teaches post-16. It really helps to have someone who understands work, though I guess we do spend waaay too long talking shop.
He started the marking bug, his college rightly realise that its a good way to increase the staff expertise for free, so they are very encouraging of it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Spent £12 on cakes for the department meeting today. Ok day, nothing new so far. No traumas, hoping it stays that way. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I have to email the planning office and oppose a planning application. I am sooo procrastinating, but the alternative choice is the dishwasher and the packed lunches...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

One of my old work colleagues was married to another teacher at our school. They had a rule that they could talk about work on the way home then no longer after that, and if one of them mentioned it they had to put money in a box which then paid for their treats. Good system.0

I LOVE that system...we'd collect so much money. I'm terrible for it - as you can tell from my thread. Ha haReduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
