Result! Just looked it up and think we will get (some) tax credits on mat leave. Does it show I am bored?! DH still marking, loads of housework to do but too tired.

Suppose I should revel in it while I can!

  • Hi grateful, have just caught up with your diary, we just had our 3rd baby 9 weeks ago so i can sympathise with the tiredness!
I am sure you cant wait to finish work, then you can put your feet up and relax before the little one arrives, Goodluck and take it easy. xo

  • Hello *waves* Congratulations on the birth of number three! How is it with three and what ages are they?

  • Had a lovely morning, ended up gossiping with the dear chap who runs the antique shop locally, he is staining and polishing a blanket box for us.
Sun is shining and washing machine is on! Spent £3.50 on ballet (DH in charge of that) and £40 on the stripping, ouch!
Will have to bite the bullet and do some housework after lunch.

  • Goodness I'm tired. I have tidied a few hotspots and done a few loads of washing. Spent £45 on lunch clubs for DD2, £62 on a water bill (this really hacks me off as the cold weather stopped us using our own supply, and we can't afford to reinstate the pump and filter yet), and £65 on a load of logs dropped off by a local farmer/friend.

We have also done percussion, singing and dancing to Queen's greatest hits - gotta love Freddie - and I have filled in a load of paperwork for pre-school. Forgot to say had stocked up with all DD1's asthma and eczema gubbins and emailed AQA to apologise for not replying to their invitation to moderate c/w - think it may be a step too far with a tiny baby. I can mark online one-handed, but not moderate, you need both hands for that!!

Cannot believe it is 4.20, DH still marking furiously. Tomorrow night we *plan* to have a valentine dinner and an evening off. Even I did some marking as there was a bit of bonus marking left (fee + 20%) but probably only a tenner's worth.

  • Been very naughty and spent my greasy palm cash that I haven't had yet on a frock off ebay. It is a style I already own but in a different colour, and I have worn it as much as I could get away with for two summers. Still naughty.

  • Well, exhausted today. Did the ironing, some washing and a bit of hoovering and that's me. Spent no cash though, to make up for yesterday.

Something horrible to be dispensed with today, and then (fingers crossed) its downhill to maternity leave.

  • NSD (Yay!). Exhausted again, manic day at work, no breaks, no lunchtime, everyone has decided they need me to do stuff, despite the fact that I have been saying for weeks that I'm on mat leave soon.

DH is nearly there with the marking, last night we had a lovely meal together and sat in front of the fire, I feel very spoilt!

Good day with my replacement, she certainly has a sense of humour, which she will need!!

  • Just been very naughty and bought puppy a collar and lead and an engraved dog tag, and a puppy kong.

She is bound to prefer chewing shoes.

We trained our pup with kongs and a tennis ball in a long sock...she's never chewed anything else other than tissues and paper if she gets the opportunity. She's a good little puppy (or a good big one at least).
