We trained our pup with kongs and a tennis ball in a long sock...she's never chewed anything else other than tissues and paper if she gets the opportunity. She's a good little puppy (or a good big one at least).

I thought she also chewed your door, or is that someone elses pup i am thinking of?? :o
  • They love tissues don't they? I'm getting really excited, and greenbee on flylady has just taught me an excellent expression for work...

Poor planning on your part doesn't make an emergency on mine!

I don't mean you, twinklie I mean the several grown adults who have emailed me today saying can I just...handhold x y and z through their coursework as they have suddenly developed an interest in completing it, even though I have offered three lunchtimes a week since October which they have chosen not to bother with GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Ahem...she didn't eat it - she scratched it ACTUALLY!! :p
To be fair though we'd never had any doors on that room and suddenly when she was 7 months old this massive smelly door appeared. I think she was just freaked out to be honest.

She did eat a pencil the other night as well....:o

  • Certainly you can't be too uptight about your house with kids or pets...apart from that woman who was coming for coffee, michelle!

My last dog climbed some net curtains (in someone else's house!) and then gracefully slid back to the floor when her weight ripped them.

  • She has quite a big dog as well as her 3 year old and 10 month old, but i think the poor dog spends most time outside. Maybe the kids live under a bed or something too? ;) That would stop the mess.

Can't help but have a little chuckle at what your dog did, but it must have been embarassing at the time. :D
  • I was mortified and she was unrepentant!

haha reading your stories of pets, I remember having a japanese akita and he would chew doors and chairs and always be on the sofa but when he heard us coming down he would glide off as if he had never even been there and look really quilty at me.
