Dogs are so clever. How long are you having for maternity leave, lilac? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I think probably 9 months GFH.. I havebeen hoping for the year but i think finances will be against us unless we get a small bit of good fortune, OH gets a pay rise or I cant sucessfully cut the budget back more and stick with it..MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I'm hoping for a year...but have done a rubbish job of keeping costs down. Do you have childcare planned yet? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I was hoping for similar but with the new house and larger associated bills we just don't have the savings... childcare will be a mix of my flexible working, OH being finished early afternoon and our parents. DD1 will be at school and DD2 will have 15 hours of funded nursery education because she will be 3 so hoping that will be enough but the nursery we hope to place DD2 in is the one dd1 currently goes too and you can get extended hours for a reasonable cost as its run by the local authority..MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

That all sounds very sensible and MSE. Just been to a governors meeting, have promised to take puppy in to see the littlies after half term.
DH is on the home straight with the exam papers, we really haven't let up since November...and we are feeling it now. At the weekend we have a baptism and then dentist and puppy.
To make things worse there is a stupid 15 mile road diversion for a teeny bit of roadmending on the route to work for both of us.
Whinge whinge...three days to go. Replacement was teaching today while I watched/helped a bit/tidied up. I snuck out for 10 min to see the technicians and while I was gone chaos ensued. nice class too. Hope that's not an omen. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Maybe they just see the replacement as a supply/student type person, and will change their tune when they know it is permanent.
I always found nice kids were worse behaved when i wasn't there. I think i expected better of them, so was therefore more disappointed by them.
Exciting week for you. Roll with it, it will be the last really hard week for a few weeks. No commuting after next week.:D0 -
Well I have moved heaven and earth to get the kids c/w done, all but one, who was ill, have done it. I have been running around all over the place.
Michelle I hope you're right and they will be more respectful when I am out of the way.
Good news today in the form of a random cheque for £20 from BS solicitors from when we remortgaged over a year ago. Random.
Also spend £13.50 of tesco vouchers on new pjs for DD2 and new school trousers for DD1.
I am planning a bit of c/w marking tomorrow, but otherwise I am really going to start my wind down. DH finished his marking last night, so its going to be a bit easier tonight, he can do bedtime. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
i'm such a control freak, can't imagine handing over control of my classes to someone else
Must be so exciting now that the 'end' is within reach (and probably scary in equal measure knowing that the birth so so near).

It is terrifying, pavlov's. BTW there was a really good documentary on bbc4 lately about early psychology experiments, including some hideous footage of pavlov's experiments on children. Shocking.
I have got Y11 trained to the point that they are self governing IYSWIM, but the others...its a worry. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Having a slightly calmer day today, but still in at lunchtime with the last coursework person.
Y11 made me cry on our last lesson, they had got me a card and a box of chocolates, bless. The technicians gave me a lovely baby outfit, and one of them brought his gorgeous doggy in so we could meet!!
Hope no-one else is nice to me today, I shall blub again! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
