  • My bubs have got bigger as they went along, and same for most of my friends. Ds1 was 7IB13, and then 9Ib2 for DS2. To say i had such bad morning sickness too, i was shocked by that weight. :o I only put on half a stone the whole way through, so shows what parasites they are. :D

Sounds like you got some great stuff. Will be great seeing you round a bit more in the day now. :)

OOO A St. Patricks day baby... My kids were 8lb9 40+6, 8lb 3 37+6 and 8lb3 39+1 with a dodgy failing placenta.. If it was working well and i went overdue I would be looking at a 9-10lber.

You well on course for your planned year off?

I've heard they get bigger too, DD was 9lb 10.5! Had a fab labour tho and i believe bigger babies are easy to deliver. I wonder what this one will weigh! I have had a small bump since 5/6 weeks!

My first was 8lb15oz and second was 8lb3oz. Ds2 was also later than whereas subsequent babies are supposed to be earlier - 40+17 for ds1, 40+25 for ds2. I'd better not have anymore, I'll be pregnant til they start nursery! :rotfl:
    Updating soon...
  • Have you ever seen the curious case of benjamin button courgette? That last comment just reminded me of it. lol.

cath - i would not worry too much at all about what size bubs will be. I showed too from a very early stage with ds2. I had year 11 kids asking me if i was pregnant at 7/8 weeks, and i am talking boys who don't normally notice this sort of thing. I just put it down to me only having given birth 9 months before falling pregnant again so everything was still so stretched.

I hope Grateful is being quiet today as she is having fun with the family.

Oh believe me bigger babies are easier! :) Although mine fly out anyway!

My heaviest child was DS2 8lb 8oz then they all got small until chubby checker no6 arrived 8lb

Worst pain was with was DD 6lb 7lb and 14 days late

    I don't envy you though 9lb 10.5 ouch!

Well I'm half Irish and DH is pretty much all Irish by descent...

Only because DH will inherit some money, otherwise I would be doing what you are.

    Thanks, I'll try!

Been quiet as was away. Went Sat, back last night. Turns out I am now a Godmother...feel very proud...Roman Catholic ceremony, no issues with my being C of E, and actually no-one checked I had beend baptised or confirmed, though I have. Dear lovely priest has warmed the water, but being a single, presumably childless male, didn't know about the elbow test and I was really shocked by how hot the water was - so was baby

Today, family trip to dentist, stickers for me and the girls but not DH - two fillings! Then bank, picked up the finished blanket box and off to Wiltshire to pick up puppy truffle, who is snoozing in her bed, having pooed on the kitchen floor twice and weed on it once:rotfl:

I have no intention of going further than the vets for the rest of the week, we are all exhausted.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Awwwww....if its any help we had our first accident with our little (9mth pup) today in ages. An indoor poo. It was totally our fault...we were having some "adult" time and erm, forgot to let her out first. Oophs. ;) She did try and tell us and we just though she was moaning because we were upstairs. :rotfl:

By the way, the Irish is clearly a dig at my roots as well...we are Belfast based on my pop's side.
