You're not kidding they are sooo crucial to the smooth running of lessons. And ours are the best I have ever known, clever and positive.
Lots of presents have arrived for the DDs. DH is lighting the fire, DD1 is playing piano.
Land rover dealer managed to find and return DD1's book she had left behind there. Still pondering spending a lot of money on a Radley (or suchlike) bag for DD1's piano teacher, who does it for free and is amazing. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Quick update, boss has very kindly agreed to pay £195 for me to do a two day course. It's while on mat leave, but hoping I won't have given birth quite yet.
It will mean sorting out child and puppy care, but it is exactly what I need career wise. Yay!
Also I expect I will be bored stiff by then...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Extra brilliance, I got hold of some unexpected liquid nitrogen at lunchtime so have been [STRIKE]playing[/STRIKE] teaching with that all afternoon.:jPlease do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

God bless you that's very flattering!! I was middle management until DD1 came along and have been main scale ever since. She's 7, and the course is "preparation for middle leadership" which would be useful as I'm quite out of things, IYSWIM.
I don't pick up enough litter in the playground to be SMT, still working on it!!!
Got my free energy saving plug and water widget in the post, the water thing I will pass on to my Dad as I don't need it. Boden sale has started and I'm very pleased with myself as it did nothing for me at all.
Dived into M and S for the dine in for a tenner offer, naughty...but it seems such good value. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Busy and expensive day so far...£40 cash out, but it is spoken for, £7 of which on ballet. Lady gave me her ticket in the car park, cast your bread upon the water and all that, since I gave a man mine there last week. Ballet watched (funny funny funny). Went to get the seat covers put on the new-to-us car that were part of the deal I struck. Very pleased with the seat covers, they are khaki colour and waterproof but not plasticky. £6 on bits in tesco, but used a £2 voucher, and £77 on diesel, eek! Got free mocha and hot chocolate in the garage while we waited though.
One of my students, 15, was complaining to me in a shocked voice that Nigella's cookery programme seemed to be "all about sex" and he couldn't fathom why...bless his cotton for being so innocent. I told him that's her USP.
And DH is not in a good way, MIL has been told she has about 6 months, she's decided not to have chemo. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Thanks. I've given up on denial now, and I have to admit to myself that its likely she won't be with us too much longer. She's well, though, and out and about at the moment, so good on her. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I think that's right. She has always been the optimistic sort, and apart from last night when she was understandably in bits, she is very together about the whole thing.
I think when you have kids, your main worry is whether they'll be ok, and if they are then you've done the best you can. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
