  • There has to be a bright side! Is it just me or is the nectar toolbar thing a bit rubbish, limited to 50 points a month which is 25p??

  • I haven't tried it yet, i am still trialling swagbucks. I am up to 220 points and need 900 for a $5 amazon.com voucher or $5 paypal.. I can't work out if it is good value or not yet though, but 25p per month sounds particularly poor for all the data they must be getting from you.

So sorry to hear about your MIL, am thinking of you.

Glad car finally started and you got rid! lol at you dumping everything on car showroom floor!

I have been doing the nectar toolbar but not taken much notice apart from that it seems to reset itself as when i look at it i have less than I did before! I hadn't realised it was limited to 25p a month - that's really poor.

We need to find new ways to make money!!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Thanks, cath. Yeah it is pretty poor, may send them some feedback.

Big list of busy jobs to do today. We used to go to church every sunday and then to the pub for sunday lunch. MSE aside, we couldn't find the time now!

Also after being sick for three days of work last week, I have a m/w appointment on Monday so will be late in. D'oh!

  • Have sent off for refunds totalling £120 for tax disc and car insurance. Also hoping to get form for HIP grant tomorrow. Wondering if I will get tax credits when on zero pay, DH earns £37/38k???

You may get the basic min tax credit of £10 is per week. Not sure though tbh
  • Thanks, yukkibear well that would be jolly. Phew, I have had a manic day doing stuff that should have been done on previous days.

Behind at work now as I was off sick, so mega catch up this week. Managed a NSD, actually no, spent a fiver on an alternative to Christmas cards for neighbours. Cheaper than the cards and the effort, though, and greener.

  • Been to m/w and all is fine. Watched a very clever, but bleak film last night called "night of the sunflower". We are frighteningly close now to the end of term.

  • Not too bad a day. Exhausted, but what's new? Spent £30 on diesel, it was too cold to wait any longer for it to fill up! The roads here are worse than an ice rink. Hoping DH gets home safely.

DD2 got a brilliant treasure chest from book start at pre-school with lovely books in and colouring pencils.

  • Lowest temp this morning was -11!!! Very cold here and we have no water. Well is either frozen or empty, eek.
