Sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourselves this weekend and allow yourself time for it to sink in. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. xx0

Thanks, michelle. Poor DH it hit him hard and I'd so love to protect him from the pain. Although I'm also really cross with him (how weird you can feel sympathy and cross at once) as he has managed to lose the back off the wing mirror of my car in one day of driving it.
I can see lots of very long journeys coming up to visit MIL, hopefully she will be determined to hang around to meet the baby. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
You couldn't make this up, the day we go to part exchange the car and it won't start, won't even turn over. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Oh no!! Hopefully it's just the cold, and you can get it started soon.Mummy to 3 fabulous boys all under 4 :eek:0

Hope you managed to jump it and get it there. Awful, but then not yor problem anymore. I guess lots of cars will be struggling this winter. Mine is still covered in a few feet of snow - the only blooming one this half of the street. Can't rely on DH for anything. If he isn't home soon that will end up being another thing i have to tackle myself.0

Thanks guys, michelle is your DH working Saturday mornings too? What does he do?
Well I called Mr RAC and he was on his way when the car started, not the battery, as it was not even turning over. Cancelled Mr RAC and got to town when it packed up again. Thought "sod it" and left in where it was, DD2 did ballet with DH, I took DD1's pukey duvet to the launderette and washed it, DD1 and I had coffee in the market (naughty!). Collected DD2 and DH and the car started, RESULT! got duvet and bumbled off to the dealer, got all car seats, laundry et.c. out of old car and dumped on floor of dealership, we looked like displaced persons. Finally got the car business done, though will have to go back next week and get seat covers put on and service book stamped, and here we are. PHEW.
Went in Tesco with a voucher as thought would get DD1 new school trousers - she goes through the knees - and tesco have zero uniform in, all their kids clothes are tarty, spangly carp. Annoying!
Still, fire on and all safe at home, pouring with rain here. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Yes I'm totally relieved we have sold it on. So your DH does things like pop concerts and stage shows? Must be interesting. Has he firmed up his payrise? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
