the falls in prices are depressing aren't they. I know people say it doesn't matter if you're not moving but when we went onto new mortgage deal this time our LTV was just over 75% and it would be nice to have it way under. I will go on a new deal in 18 months and be a bit peeved if prices keep dropping and i can't get under 75%!
Yukkibear, i am expecting my first payout from quidco so they are reliable. The fee is a pain but i guess it depends who is offering the best cashback for deals. I do generally prefer TCB though.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
What is TCB?? Yeah, well I signed (metaphorically) in blood to never move again after moving here (DH made me, when you see the mortgage you understand why!) but when you go to remortgage, as you say, you need a better LTV. I was hoping to get to under 60% for 2015 when we remortagage again.

The snow has become a bit more purposeful, won't settle yet, but may well as night falls. Realise I have spent two days doing notalot. Camera seems fine. Have been reading a thread on greasy palm that suggests I may never get to cash in my £25, I have £27.34 in there, but only £23 of it has been "validated". Rubbish.
Lovely and warm here, but the oil is disappearing at a terrifying rate! This weather makes me feel soo feeble.
eta NSD so far, but have a feeling will have to do online Christmas shopping tonight.
Got two vouchers for £5 sight tests off the bags that Boots prescriptions come in. No expiry date. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Still ill. Going back to bed, and fed up with it. Had a fit last night over the unutterably bloody horses website, just completed highly complex Christmas shopping and it dumped everything out of my basket and I had to start again.
DH has gone to work in my car (4x4) as we have snow, under strict instructions not to break it as it is now worth three times what it was last week (put diesel in it, ha!) no, because we have a good part exchange deal on it.
Should be a NSD.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Your quite the comic this morning. I'm sure DHs diesel car increases in value every time we fill it too at £90 for a full tank.0

PUPPPIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a puppy............
I know what you mean about prices too. our LTV is eeekk. Had to accept less for this and whereas we got month off what we bought the LTV mortgage works on is based on purchase prive not mortgageability. We ended up with a 5.99% deal. EEEEKKKKKKK still we fixed for 2 years, we shouls have about 500 a month more in 18 months timeMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Yeah we are 5.59% until 2015. We just can't take the chance on rates rising much just now.
DH called and is a bit shaken after a scary drive to work. I have been asleep for about three hours! And the ponies have arrived!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hi GFH, I am in the same situation as you, but 7 months further along. I managed to get all the baby stuff sorted out quite cheaply, and really enjoying mat leave! I now just have to decide if I want to go back after 9 months or 12 months (the last chunks unpaid). OH wants me to go back after 9 months but I can't quite commit to that yet!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
