  • Sorry to hear about your MIL. To be honest, i see her point not having chemo. If you have 6 months i would rather have a good 6 months than go through chemo, especially as she sounds quite severe.

I'm glad your DH has you to help him through it.

Another week till you can have a well earned rest away from work.

Sorry to hear about MIL, what an awful shock it must be for everyone.

I don't know what else to say really, look after yourself xxx
    Updating soon...
  • Thanks guys. Michelle I wouldn't have the chemo at her age, either.

Can't wait for the holidays, although a bit worried about my exam groups, exams in Jan. Just had breakfast with the family, which is very like dining in the zoo...culminating in DD2 spilling (fairly deliberately) half a pint of milk all over the assembled junk on the kitchen table, which included fairly important bits of paper (forms to fill in, an examining contract...)

So the good news is, I've been offered two contracts by one exam board and one contract by another, A level chem x2 and a higher triple chem paper by the other board. So that should net about £1600, with DH making £800 in Jan and another £1200 ish in June, if he gets the summer contract which is pretty likely. Should help pay for the car...

Seriously wondering about the puppy, what with MIL and all, but think we know people with a flat we can stay in down there, where they will *probably* take dogs, so that will solve one problem.

Serious housework to be done today...wish me luck!

  • Not much news today. Kids at school are a little exciteable! We have more snow forecast, I've ordered some more presents online.

Double Dr Who tonight! I've seen some curtains for DD1's room on ebay, may have to measure up.

  • Oh dear, pregnancy does weird things to you, I had a deeply inappropriate dream about David Tennant after double Dr Who last night
Off to docs for a glucose tolerance test today, what a pain. MIL doesn't sound good at all, we are going to visit in the hols. I'm hoping SIL will at some point come to understand that while I have no prob vowing to "love honour and obey" yes, even obey, there is no mention of SIL in the Book of common prayer.

My head of house made me the most gorgeous present for the baby, its a dolly that she knitted herself. One way up its Cinderella before the ball and the other way up its Cinderella at the ball. It must have taken her forever. Soo kind. If its a boy it will have to be in touch with its feminine side.

Friend in the U.S. is willing me to have a boy so she can send me her boy baby clothes, her little boy is a few months ahead, which is ideal as I have acres of girl clothes but no boy ones.

Off to check the weather forecast to see whether we will make it to the end of term.

  • Thanks cath. I don't even fancy him!!

Been for blood tests today, in between had to call an ambulance for a guy who had broken his arm. I bet they're really busy with people slipping over and stuff at the moment.
