  • We had that on for a bit, but I could not stand to watch it. Reminded me too much that most of my lessons seemed to have kids in like that, and it was a bad place for me. Just made me really happy to be away from it all. Who needs that kind of stress in their life.

I think that's the key, if it's stressful you are best away from it.

I mostly just find it funny, though not always:eek:

Its a really good programme, very honest.

Mainly makes me laugh, brings back my memories of school but shows how undervalued teachers are, i for one could not do that job and have a lot of respect for them.

I also thought mr drew was gay, he's camp as christmas but very funny, love how he interacts with the kids. Glad the fridge fits and the kitchens coming along nicely. Cant wait for pics!!

He's a genius, though I wonder if he's that nice to work with.

Ebayer coming this morning, DW going on today. Builder promises me last day of dust on Monday (will have to go back to flylady, or at least flutter a bit).

Pics soon, scullery looks ace with nothing in it, who needs a kitchen anyway?!

Glad the disruption is coming to an end. As soon as I tidy up at the moment a certain 3yo destroys it whilst I am trapped on the sofa feeding 3 week old! I think they gang up on me.

    Any plans for weekend?

  • Hi cath and pammy. No plans as such, just survival. Living here at the moment is like trying to run the bar and wait tables in a busy pub single handed!

As for attitude, my 8 year old is doing ok for herself on that score.

A lot of time wasted today as puppy has trashed two lampshades, she had to go to the vet for a new one (reinforced with gaffer tape). I always thought pedigree dogs were thick, but she has demonstrated about 10 strategies, repeatedly used with absolute determination until she has broken them. There must be an APP target for that.

Sink unit has gone. Result. Have scrubbed dishwasher and listed it.

DH is going in attic to find mclaren buggy...it's on it's 3rd child...can't be bad.

Labs are clever. We had one that used to climb the chain link fence on the run outside it's kennel to squeeze through the 8" gap at the top and escape... The current one picks up two birds at a time by laying them down so their necks are together and saves herself a second journey...

My utility room is nearly back together... I have a sink, WM, TD and DW that I should be able to use (I'm a bit scared of trying incase of leaks :o) so some stuff has been out back and we've done first level clean. The small bedroom has also been cleaned and I've decided I'll sort out the missed paintwork myself so I can start moving stuff tomorrow rather than waiting until Monday.

It finally feels like progress is being made in a constructive rather than destructive direction at last... Hope you're feeling the same!
  • Good news greenbee. Clever of the lab. I apologise to Labrador kind for my prejudice!

Great that you are at the putting-it-back together stage. I have to evict the freezer from the kitchen today, and sort what I estimate to be around 80 kg of washing - a week's worth.

Painting starts next week - can't wait.

  • That will be how many loads in your new super duper large capacity machine? I am so glad we got an 8KG one. I wish I had yours though.
  • 7 or 8 loads! I think we probably generate more washing than you guys with Baby Grateful an' all, and we can't wash all week at the moment, the washing would be covered in dust as soon as we got it out.

Puppy is back from the vet, in front of the fire conked out. I feel soooo guilty for putting her through it, but if she had puppies I couldn't bear to part with any and madness would descend.

I have a bid on the sink unit, 22 watchers and a day to go, wahey! :money:

We are still waiting to get our little one done. Beginning of December is when it's due to happen. Because she's a large breed and still growing BIG time (she's gotta be 7 stone now), they wouldn't do her till she's had her first season. December she should be roughly midcycle so I'm on it. I also do not want puppies.

Any advice on what your little one was like or helped in recovery (e.g. anything that made you feel less guilty) would be much appreciated. :D

bet you can't wait to get your house back. Sure it will all be worth it in the end.

What did you decide to do about the BTL you were considering in the end?
