Thanks guys. Baby was fine until the clocks changed, too.

Earthie I am more supervising the painting than doing any! It no longer looks like our kitchen (yellowed and tatty) and now looks like what Beeny would call a "bright contemporary living space"!!

So...am I right in thinking that if we have a Baptism party at home, then SIL can see (and be derogatory about) the renovations and so absolve me of the need to ask her here at another time?

Also she hates dogs...

I hate people like that, is there a reason or like pavlov said is she a general sourpuss?

I'd take the high road and ignore it... annoys them more i think. We have someone in our family who likes to put everyone down but i know at half her age i have more than she'll ever have

We have a bouncing (sometimes richocheting) full grown labrador pup so that's taken care of!

Thing is she's quite plausible on first meeting...

Well I have a date for it now and we've agreed Godparents to ask and guests (only about 25 including us).

One of my friends says to send out the invitations very close to the day (:rotfl:).

Why are some family members a nightmare??? At least it's not a huge audience for her to be offensive in front of. Get your puppy involved in things as much as you can!
