My SIL has had another baby 13.5 months after the first :) apparently they didn't realise it would be so quick ... And my DB is a doctor :p

Oh funny (and lovely) did he miss that lecture?;)

I'm glad your DH needs you :) it's good for them to be reminded at times!

Absolutely, and I'm completely innocent of any input to the reminding:rotfl:

I just hope he's giving better advice to his patients...
  • Well I dabbled with the whole breastfeeding as a contraceptive theory, but when you look into it, real breastfeeding on demand means basically not living in the developed world - like stopping the car wherever to feed the baby.

I know quite a few who've got pregnant that way.

Are you travelling much with work now? Is your Mum bringing the dog?

Dog is staying at home, as she's getting a bit old for travelling.

Whereas I'm still travelling far too much. Last week was Ireland, and I'm off to Barcelona in a couple of weeks ... And then I'm done travelling for the year. I'm back in hospital for tests on nov 25th and don't plan to leave the country again until March. My consultant has suggested that getting pregnant asap is a good idea... Do I have to tell OH or just pretend I has the same education as my brother ;)
  • Clearly if he doesn't want any more children he will be wearing condoms...

I found a clear blue fertility monitor very useful...you could always be using it as contraception if he finds it :rotfl:

Lovely. I think you will be an ace mummy.

We already have a persona monitor...
  • Well there you are, they have a great reputation for pregnancies (and I know they're supposed to be for contraception!).

The only time I ever tried monitoring anything, I didn't ovulate for the whole 7 weeks I was checking it. Then I went on holiday and decided to give myself a rest from the stress of it. Guess when I conceived.......! The advice that worked for me was to forget all about the timing of stuff and just make sure you don't let it get to more than 3 days gap, ever, so whenever it arrives, you're close enough to it.

  • Ha! When we were ttc DH would've been really grateful for a 3 day gap!!

    Bah! Plumber is late.

DH rolled in at 11.30 after his flight was late. We were up at 5.30 with the boy and he has dropped the pup off after explaining to the vet that she's a princess puppy. The vet said she would bear it in mind...

Glad DH is safely home. Eek at the early start, DH has been getting up with DD and I have been strolling downstairs with baby after 8am.

How far off is the kitchen being finished?
