LoL at Consultant, have you been on the sherry again today :rotfl: Sounds like my kind of cake!!

DD has now got the bug, hence my absence over the past 2 days. She is (unusually) very clingy and hasnt left my knee all day. (its nice getting all the cuddles though :D)

Still not 100% on to food myself though my weight seems to have regulated itself after being totally dehydrated earlier this week. Back to work on Tuesday and hopefully into town once I have finished to get a few more pressies. We are nearly done, thank goodness.

How are you feeling Rachel - has your voice come back?

    Hi all

Thanks for the cake recipe Consultant - that had me giggling so much DH was looking quizzically at me so I read it out for him and we both had a good laugh. :rotfl: It reminds me of some Christmas mornings in the past where I've had a little too much Christmas cheer while preparing the dinner, so by the time we sit down to eat I'm past caring anymore and usually forget something important like the gravy!

Suggs - I can imagine you feel like you've been invaded with five teenagers descending on you! Did you and the kids put the tree up?

Honey - hope your little one gets better soon.

DH and I braved the shops again today, but not for long - I've decided I'm going to do the rest of my Christmas shopping on line!

Have a good week everyone. I'll be here tomorrow night with the weekly update.

    Hi all,

Really pleased I have lost another 1lb this week. Didn't think I would do very well, as had meal out and missed one of my gym sessions, so this is a real result. Only 1lb to go to get my Christmas target, hopefully next week, as week after that start having Christmas parties to go to.

Good luck everyone else weighing in today.

Quick update from me, got to catch a train to London. I am now back to 11.8 so that is a 2lb loss which is what I put on when I was on holiday. Thanks to all you cheered me up when I got back at least it is back off now.

Only 5 days to go now must try to make the gym at least once this week.

    Morning all,

Well done to Flis and Tall Girl. Hopefully this is going to be a good week for everyone. I've my weigh in tonight. Fingers crossed. I have decided to change my target. I'm happy with my size at the minute, a size 12 now fits me comfortably and I've got used to not taking the larger sizes into the changing room, eventually. I'm going to set it for another 5lb then that means I will have lost 21lb in total.
    Wish me luck!
  • Sorry didn't reply consultant, I was already there! The Barley Hall are doing a christmas market every weekend up to Christmas - some of hte traders were at the St Nicholas Fayre, some weren't. I was there with my re-enactment group providing a bit of 'colour' so we had some living history stuff going on with textile crafts and sharp pointy things for the boys to play with. We ended up dragging a load of their stuff out into the courtyard and doing some cleaning which is quite knackering with broomsticks and when you're not allowed any stardrops! We get to sleep over in the hall when we stay which is nice even if it's a bit noisy. I'll be there quite a lot next year so I'll pm you the dates nearer the time and you can come see us. I'll have to wear a flower or something so you know who I am . . . . . .

Nice to see everyone being so festive! BTW I tried the mince pies and they were GORGEOUS but they do go a bit soggy if you keep them overnight.

    Morning all

Just time to pop on before I go to Warwick for a 'team meeting'

Lois I put the tree up yesterday or rather daughter no.2 did I keep forgetting its only a 5ft tree :xmastree: so it looks smaller than I expect, story of my life I expect!! :rotfl:

Anyways I have maintianed this week, which is great as I will now start to believe the last two weeks big drops :xmassmile

I went to my niece's Baptism Saturday, she looked gorgeous, in fact she wouldnt have looked out of place on my tree ;) trouble is finger buffet time :o I resisted for a time and then partook, I even wore a suit that was slightly too small but fis much much better than the three suits that are now way too big for me!! So I went in the pool yesterday with two of the children and the other one went Christmas shopping with Mrs Suggs. I managed the usual number of lengths (60) in a small pool but then after dropping the children off home, I felt guilty so went back went int he gym and did 40 minutes cv work, silly of me I know!!

Anyways Big Congratulations to Tallgirl and Fils, I show your handbags while out in CMK shopping Friday night very nice too :snow_grin

Nice recipe Consultant made me smile, reminds me of a similar one for banana bread, but its a little rude :snow_laug

    Have a good day all.

    Good luck Honey.

Well done to TallGirl and Fliss.

I just couldn't bring myself to eat less this week, so have maintained and still on exactly 12 stone!:o I gotta lose at least a pound next week to get onto 11 stone something!! On a good note, I resisted all urges to eat junk food this last week. Thanks to all those who posted this week as I read all the posts on Friday night to avoid PringleGate:j

Consultant - I loved your Christmas cake recipe.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Sounds lovely, I'll look forward to it :D

Well done Flis and Tallgirl on your losses, and Suggs on your maintain this week after mammoth losses over the last 2 weeks. I guess the losses will be slowing down over the next few weeks, but you're all doing well so far.

Honey good luck for tonight! How is poorly DD feeling today?

Lois, I find it works really well if I also give the guests too much Christmas cheer, then they don't notice the mistakes I make with cooking the dinner :rotfl:

Off to clean out the freezer and try to make some extra room for the festive goodies, though I'm determined not to buy so much this year (though I say that every year )

DD is still sick. Poor little mite. Although in a selfish way its great cos she just wants her mummy :D and I love hugs and cuddles - they arent as common now she is a "big" girl!!

Just back from Mr Tesco, resisted lots of nice Christmas choccie things - did succumb to honey coated cashew nuts though and a box of mince pies for after weigh in tonight! Tell me I'm not the only one who has to have a treat after SW/WW class !!
