Suggs, hope you get an early night after that 5.30am start. Good job I wasnt there, I can't manage to engage brain and mouth until at least 730am and even then you don't want to talk to me :rotfl:

Honey, talking wouldnt have been a problem as I was still on the road at that time. it took 3hrs 15min to get to Manchester  and 3hrs 10 min to get home again, a combination of rain, heavy traffic on the M6/M60/M56 and on the way home me missing a turning in Stoke while cutting through to the A50

And I am still up now

Ooh Suggs your seminar sounds very posh!! How's the knee, getting better all the time by the sounds of it.

It wasnt that posh Consultant, just about what planning is needed for a business to function after a major disaster/failure. Knee is sore to be honest, I have driven over 600 miles in the last three days which the knee isnt used to. :o At least I am at home tomorrow :) Thanks for asking, I know I should rest it and havent been in the gym or swimming the last two days.

What I want to know is how a Chicken and Bacon salad tastes :D Hope you had a good lunch. Is the All bran cake realy that nice? Didnt see the recipe so will have to look it up. :)

Pre xmas is telling I'm afraid - up 1.5lbs this week. Need to put the brakes on before I put everything back. Also need to get back to gym as have not been back all week but DH has been overgenerous with his cold and given it to me so not feeling too much like hitting the treadmill and rowing machine.

Good luck to everyone else - I will read back on the thread when I have more time. Need to get to work right now.

Katiepc At elast you have a good excure for not doing the gym challenge, I have none. Too busy and as we are leaving on Friday lunchtime I must get some work done today. Can we start again afresh next year?
Suggs 600 miles is a lot no wonder your knee is sore. I used to do 5000 miles in a year in my old job but I have done 25000 this year. I don't mind the driving it is the trafic jams that is the worst, I really HATE the top of the M25.

Working from home today so much get a lot of work done. Need to pop to the post office with the last Christmas Presents and perhaps do a little bit of clothes shopping for my trip. Could do with some more shorts and perhaps T K MAx will have some.

Tallgirl you're rubbing salt in the wounds now - buying shorts when the rest of us are buying scarves and woolly gloves!!! I hope you have a wonderful holiday (despite me being so jealous, lol).

Suggs Could you not use the train instead of driving? It seems like a lot to ask of your bad knee.

The All Bran cake really is nice, honestly! I don't know if I've posted the recipe so here it is , give it a try :-

    All Bran cake Serves 2

    84gms All Bran - 12 syns or 2 HEBs
    2 eggs
    ½ tsp baking powder - ½ syn
    3 tablespoons granulated sweetener
2 mashed bananas (strictly speaking 3 syns)
Mixed spice and cinnamon (to taste)
    1 sachet chocolate Options – 2 syns

Soak All Bran in 8 tablespoons boiling water and leave to soften.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
    Microwave for 7 mins
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Tallgirl, have a lovely holiday. Not jealous in the slightest ;)

Just back from the bridesmaids fitting (the one I have been dreading) Size 12 :T:T:T:T:T:T the other bridesmaid was the same too so made me feel much better!
  • Well done honey!

Thanks for that tallgirl, we'll start agan when you get back from holiday. Did anyone watch Nigella this week? I don;t eve nwant to think about how many syns were in that episode. There was a lot of jiggling going on too. I think OH may have taped it . . . . .

Well done honey - is the bridesmaid dress nice or are we talking blamange pink meirange (sp?)?

1.5 on is no biggie katyk. You'll knock it back off before you know it.

hee hee re: the jiggling katie. how does one manage to jiggle so much when cooking???

I had my apres-vegas weigh in last night (missed last week cause I fell asleep on the sofa :o - the jet lag has really killed me this time) and I've put on 4.5lb. Not as bad I was starting to think it would be - especially seeing as I've had a tough time getting back into it.

I'm going to try and lose something each week between now and christmas, maintain over christmas and try and lose something each week after christmas before we move to Vegas.

Picked up the new seasonal hifi bars last night - haven't tried them yet as I couldn't decide which one to start with last night so ended up scoffing a bowl of rice pudding instead (i'm still into the rice pud thing!)
