I forgot to weigh myself yesterday. Thinking of something else... probably christmas.
Anyway, if today' weigh in is valid, I am maintaining this week.
How boring.
I want to get rid of that cold for good and begin again doing some exercise.'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
It's yukky here today!
Went out with the dog for an hour this morning before the rain and it was freezing! Have just got back from the final remnants of Xmas shopping - think I'm all done now apart from the fresh food run the day before.
I hate the shops at this time of year - total bedlam.
Yesterday wasn't too bad as a diet day - I ate free foods all day but caved in to some pringles in the evening - hopefully will have burnt them off during the day with all of the cleaning and running around.
(I have had a kitkat for breakfast so not a brilliant start to the day today).
I'm making leek and potato soup for lunch today - nice on freezing old days like today.
Right, off to wrap more presents,
Take care and keep thinking about diets even if you're not strictly doing it at the moment (like me!)

Hi Stevie - welcome to the thread
and well done for your 2 stone loss.
There are lots of recipes on another thread - if you go to the first post in this thread you'll find a link to it. It's all indexed and lots of the recipes are specifically aimed at people following SW, with syn values, healthy extras etc.
You'll find people very helpful and supportive on this thread so feel free to ask any questions, and give us advice too!

Hi all
How is everyone doing? I don't know about all of you, but I'm definitely not looking forward to facing the scales tomorrow morning.
Only two weeks to go until Christmas and I'm beginning to feel like I'm getting organised at last. We've more or less decided what we're doing, I've just about finished present buying, and we've even bought the tree - still got to decorate it though!
Have a good week everyone - don't forget the 2lb weight loss club update tomorrow.

Hi Stevie and welcome! As Lois says we're all supportive and helpful on here, though at the moment, there aren't many of us around - too busy with Christmas shopping, wrapping and eating ( ) I think!!!!
The recipes are here:-

Please feel free to add any you may have yourself.
You've done very well so far, don't worry about it, we all have times when we get stuck. I find the best way to get out of the rut is to change your habits. For instance, if it's normal for you to have all Green days, change to Original for a week, or if, like me, you're not fond of meat, try to slip in at least a couple of Red days each week.
Change your HEBs regularly as well and start to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water every day - it really does make a difference.
It's really too early to start to let the "corset" slacken at this stage - 2 weeks of jollying can add ½ stone before the big day.
Get a grip Ladies (and Gents) you'll be glad you did when January 2nd comes and you start to survey the damage!!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi Lois :hello: I think it's just you and me today!
I've been doing really well this week, except for today. We've all been out to lunch (Mum, Dad, 3 children & their OHs) and instead of having the melon starter for my dessert as usual, my mouth went and asked for the white chocolate torte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ooh it was gorgeous but I'm going to get some stick at group on Tuesday when my two daughters (who are members) tell the tale to the rest of the class
I've finished shopping, written and posted all the cards today and feel quite organised. Have got to buy in all the food yet, but I'm really hoping to retin control of my eating and drinking this year. It's usually been the time I go completely off the rails and feel dreadful by January - also it can be very hard to get back on the wagon after a lengthy period of gluttony!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I'm here too
Was out last night and may have over indulged in the vino so have been convalescing all dayIt really is quiet on here atm. Welcome Stevie, and well done on your fab weight loss to date. I think its very common to get "stuck" - you are amongst others who are in similar position so stick with us.
LOL at Consultant and your dessert. Just tell them it was the voices in your head that made you do it :rotfl: I'd never have thought of ordering the melon starter as a dessert so thanks for that tip! We are out next weekend for dinner with friends but were lucky to get the menu to pre-order so I have ordered sensibly :A and can work my day around it. I've a works dinner on Friday then this one on Saturday so next weeks weigh in is going to be shocking
Lois I'm scarily organised too, I have a horrible feeling that I have left out an entire family's worth of presents - keep checking tho and seem to be ok. Just the food shopping to do......
Stick with it folks, we have all done far too well to fall off the wagon at this stage

Morning all, Hope all ok.
I Havent written the cards or finished the presents yet, nor have I wrapped anything, but I am going food shopping later
Hope you all had a good weekend, Consultant I had 'Food Tourette’s' on Saturday in Starbucks when all good intentions fly out of the window and ended up ordering a Cinnamon squirl with my skinny extra shot, sugar free vanilla latte, and I wonder why people are looking at me!So the question is consulant was it worth it?
Honey, hows the head? have you recovered from the "may have over indulged in the vino" It made me smileIm in Dublin this weekend so I may have to indulge as well, but maybe try and be a little bit good too
Hows the OH's knee these days?
Rachelmk, how the dog walking? its amazing your venturing out in all weathers, good on you! Im still swimming and going down the gym, but still on reduced levels on the cycle and cross trainer, I will aim for 3 sessions this week including the aquacise on Thursday, went swimming last night and did 100 lengths, but it is an 8m pool
Anyways I went to Boots in my t shirt and weighed in showing a 2lb loss :T Im am happy with that as I stumbled along Friday night and Saturday night. Is it me or is this eating lark harder in the evening? Well done Madauri on maintaining, will you watch Hogfather this Christmas?
Right time for more coffee and some work. Have a good day all and welcome to Stevie hope to hear from you again soon.Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
