  Did you not get arrested for indecent exposure? Was it not a bit chilly with only a t shirt to cover you :rotfl:

    Hi all

I love the idea of food Tourettes syndrome, and now have the perfect excuse when I'm full of good intentions but suddenly something terrible pops out of my mouth, like 'bring some chocolate back' when DH pops round to the local shop!

I was seriously dreading stepping on the scales this week, so I was pleased to find I hadn't gained anything. Hopefully it was my detox weekend that did the trick, but I'm going to stay on the straight and narrow this week as well, just in case the excesses of last week are waiting to bite me next week!

Suggs - well done for losing another 2lbs, you are doing really well. I have visions of you wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shocking all the customers in Boots, which is making me giggle... :D

Consultant - how many syns is a skinny raspberry cupcake? I'm often surprised when something that you'd think would be quite low turns out to be quite high. :o

Chocolate is very addictive, and I find that the only way to stop craving it is to cut it out of my diet altogether. It really is a matter of going cold turkey, but the cravings only last 1-2 weeks, after which it doesn't bother me any more! I've gone months and months without chocolate in the past, but then I make the mistake of thinking one little bit won't do any harm, and then I'm back on the treadmill again. That's where I'm at now - I don't go mad and eat loads, but I do keep thinking about it all the time, and plan when I'll have some.

Honey - wine is probably the worst drink to have a lot of, specially red. If you can, alternate each glass of wine with at least an equal amount and preferably twice as much water - this keeps you hydrated, as its dehydration that causes the symptoms of hangover.

I bet the children are getting excited about Christmas - have they written letters to Santa yet?

Hi Rachel - half a tin of beans and 1 slice of toast for lunch - aren't you doing SW? You could have the whole tin - I do, and usually with a good sized jacket potato... :D

MissMP - we really are getting so thin on the ground at the moment that it feels bad to post and leave anyone out! Did you go cold turkey to give up eating chocolate, or did you just go off it - shock, horror!?

Back later to see if anyone has posted any more weight losses for the 2 pound club.

    Hi all,
Sad weigh in today. Put back on the 2lb I lost last week. Boo :o

    Must try harder next week.

    Cheers Alison.
  • Hi everyone

I can't belive it. I have just been to s/w for my meeting and I have lost 1 1/2 lbs. If you'd have seen what I've eaten this week. we are without a cooker at the moment since the one I bought on comets auction sight was lpg. I didn't know what Lpg mean't and these only work in places like caravans so it had to go back. We are getting a new cooker on Thursday but mean while we have been going round to friends and relatives to eat tea. or having take aways. I also had a lovely roast dinner yesterday cooked the traditional way and 2 1/2 peices of ultimate chocolate cake. Is this all going to catch up to me next week. I'm out for a meal on Wednesday apart from that I have to try and stick to s/w this week so I don't put on next week as it's the last weigh in before christmas. I didn't get to eat breakfast or lunch on Friday so I when I took my little girl & friend to see Happy feet in the afternoon. I had a whole tub of sweet popcorn. I wouldn't recommend it.

well done all loosers by the way.
    HOW MUCH ?
  • Lois and Suggs if you'd just like to sit down, I'll tell you the awful truth about the skinny muffins.

The Peach & raspberry one is 14½ syns
The lemon one is...............wait for it..............19½

The non-skinny ones range from 21½ to 29½, so if you really, really want one they're going to take up the syn allowance for 2 whole days

Needless to say, since I found out the true cost, I've avoided Starbucks all together since the coffee without the muffin isn't the same!!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
  • Oh dear GG, never mind, start afresh tomorrow, you'll get there in the end - I took the scenic route myself :rotfl:

Alyssa be very careful over the next week, cos, yes, it could come back to haunt you. Nevertheless, congrats on the loss for this week :T

What does a Venti Latte come out as when compared to a Venti Skinny Latte?

  • Lois - I am doing SW but find that if I eat a big warm lunch I want to go to sleep all afternoon and they don't look kindly on kipping at your desk at work! So its just 1 piece of toast and beans - fills me up me doesn't make me doze off!

For tea I made a veggie pasta sauce with wholewheat pasta - really nice but quite hot as I put in what I thought was one quite innocuous looking little chilli that turned out to be red hot!!!
    Nice though.
So, a free tea and a good lunch - alomost back on a diet!

I'm off to France tomorrow afternoon until Weds night for a meeting so I imagine food will go wrong again - although being a veggie in France is virtually impossible.

I'm glad I don't drink coffee and Starbucks isn't a problem! It's like a bag of chips in the form of a diet cake! Who'd have thought!
  • Evening ladies, thankyou for your words of wisdom and support, i've had a look at the recipes and im gonna try the mediterrean pasta thingy tomorrow night, i weigh in on a wednesday night so i will try and post my losses or gains when i get back fingers crossed there will be a loss . . . . . Good luck everyone else .
