Hi Katmal, welcome to the thread.
There you go the hard bit's over, you've made contact, now we can help
Please, please don't feel too ashamed to go back to class. I can guarantee your Consultant will be delighted to see you.
I can honestly say that the rush I get from helping someone shed their weight and seeing a new, more confident person emerge is worth far more than the money I am paid to do the job, and I think almost all consultants feel the same.
I truly believe that Food Optimising is the most generous healthy eating plan around and if it worked for you in the past, you will already have confidence it can work again.
We all slip up, I call it taking the scenic route, lol. Being a success at anything doesn't involve never failing. To be a true success, you just have to keep trying again and again until, eventually, you get to your target!
Winston Churchill once said "Success is the ability to go from one failure to another, with no loss of enthusiasm" and it's so true. Keep plugging away and it will click into place sooner or later.
Sorry, I can't help you with your finances, but on this thread you'll get all the help and support you need to make a difference to your weight.
Ps: Your GP should be struck off if that's all the help he can give. Ignore him, he's talking rubbish!!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello katmal - stick with us and you'll do OK. I'm no expert but we all seem to have lost at least some weight by supporting each other and having a laugh.
I'm back from France today - a bit earlier than expected so it meant that I could cook tea rather than have something yukky at the airport. I made leek and potato soup but did sneak a dumpling with it - have been good all day though (veggies can't do France!) so hopefully the dumpling won't matter too much.
Yesterday was a bit strange - very good apart from a chocolate fingers frenzy when I had a buffet lunch at work before going to the airport. Didn't have any tea though as was travelling so may be damage limitation.
If I maintain this week I'll be happy - woudl ideally like to lose a bit but with the work travelling and the extra Xmas temptation sticking where I am will do me.
It' s my birhday next Friday (22nd) and I'll be 35
I'm just really pleased that I'm under 10 stone for the first time in ages and a size 10 in most shops (not all though!!- think some are designed for prepubescent girls not women with boobs and bums!)
Anyway, shoudl go and tidy up a bit.
See you tommorrow

and one really doesn't help the other I eat cos I'm depressed about money and I spend cos I'm depressed about weight?!
I don't want to fail another New Years resolution but I'm at my wits end. I went to see my G.P. & he said God made me this way & I should deal with it.
I've tried SW with some success but fall off the wagon every few weeks it's a year since I went & I've put on so much weight I can't face going back. Y'know just admitting this in words is a relief.
Hi Katmal - well done for finding us!
Do you know anyone who could be your slimming buddy? It really helps if you've got someone you can share your problems and successes with, and the competition helps too.
In the absence of a real life buddy, we can be your virtual buddies - you will get lots of support and advice here. It's a bit quiet at the moment, I think people are really distracted with everything going on at Christmas, but we'll be back to full strength in the New Year.
I know what the downward spiral of depression is like too, and how destructive it can be, but recognising your behaviour is the first step to taking control of it. Counselling could help, but I get the feeling that your doctor wouldn't think it was necessary so wouldn't refer you. You could try seeing a different doctor...!
Good luck.

Hi all
Thank you for the welcome!
I need to work on the 2 litres of water per day - I drink a lot of tea and coffee! - so maybe that would boost my weight loss.
I've also got a gym membership I'm not making the most of so I will schedule time to work out during the week too.
I'm planning to eat plenty of fruit and veg and try the 1250 calories - I will keep you posted as to how I get on.
Thanks again,
Tigerlily

Rachel.
Good heavens, is that all you are?? You're nobbut a child :rotfl:
Stevie Today is the start of a better week - look forward to hearing your loss next Thursday!
Tigerlily the more tea and coffee you drink, the more water you need to drink. They are diuretics and therefore add to your dehydration. You could try decaff or have you ever tried the fruity teas? Some of them are lovely (though it can be a bit hit and miss at first till you find the ones you like).
Good luck to everyone for next weeks weight losses or possible maintainsI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hello folks, sorry, I hadn't deserted you :rotfl:
DD is ill again, v high temperature and hacking cough so I have been nursemaid for the past 2 days and not been allowed out of her sight. Our boiler has packed in (nice timing?) and we have an oil leak so our house is fffffrrreeezzzziiiinnnnngggg! The nice plumber man is out in the garage as we speak trying to fix it and I am coming to terms with the fact that it is going to cost me another 500l oil, £105 + vat + labour to get heat again before Christmas!
OK, Who invented tins of celebrations? I bought one for Christmas as we are having a "do" on 23rd. Since DD was sick we decided to open them yday to let her have a few and I have now had to cellotape them up bcos I keep nibbling! I have put on a pound this week (unofficial WI, not SW WI) and have 2 Christmas dinners before Monday - how am I going to shift it, plus potentially some more0 -

Too flippin busy these days. But I'll check that next week! Thanks for the tip!
Errr... hello and goodbye, just passing to say Merry Christmas (although I'm surely coming back well before the C-day). I'll do my best not to get back the few pounds I've lost. Good luck and good holidays to everybody!'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -

Morning, hope all doing ok, Im just packing, heading to Dublin for a couple of days chilling, feetup and a tiny little bit of shopping
I did weigh myself this morning, but we shall see how things go over the weekend, glad in a way Im going away, the knee is sore at the moment, the driving to meetings and gym is taking its toll, so a couple of days rest might help.
Honey you poor thing, is the heating sorted out? There is an obvious way to keep warm and it entails the use of an OHHope your litle girl is feeling a little better though. Hide the celebrations in the garden, its far too cold to venture out there
Kay Its the season to the jolly
so dont be too hard on yourself, my work 'do' is in the new year  and its on my eldest girls birthday so Im not going
It is the hardest time of year to stay on course, so dont beat yourself up for enjoying yourself
Madauri, I think its on Sky this weekend? hopefully you will enjoy it.
