Morning all!
Not much to report really - just a boring few days in work. Have tried to be goodish - will weigh at home tomorrow, a maintain will be an acheivement.
Honey - hope you get warmer soon! They say exercise is good for teh circulation - why not do an exercise video? (Just a suggestion - I wouldn't dream of it!!) It's all money, money , money at this time of the year isn't it - my dog needed booster jabs and a few small bits and pieces last night - another 100 quid whizzed out of the bank!
Have a great time in Dublin Suggs - it's one of my favourite places. The only problem is that it always ends up as a drinking holiday and the food is yummy!!
Have good day

Honey I sympathise, I really do. Out boiler broke down a couple of years ago on Christmas Eve - course everywhere was closed till the New Year, so we spent a miserable Christmas, all huddled round a coal fire (very romantic to look at, but you toast at the front and freeze at the back, lol).
Hope it gets sorted soon.
Suggs enjoy your trip and take care of that knee!
Kay it's a pity we can't bottle that awful feeling after over-eating. It would be great to be able to use it to stop it happening again. Don't feel guilty, that's a destructive emotion and what you did is quite normal, put it behind you and move on. Good luck for your weigh-in.

Thank you for the support everyone.
It's much appreciate. Good luck to everyone else with thier weigh ins this week xx"If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint," then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced". ~Van Gogh~0 -
Hi all
Thinking about the 2 pound club - does anyone want to bother with a weigh in on Christmas day?I think the answer to that is probably no, so I propose to 'rest' the update for one week, so it will resume on Monday 1st January - a good day for a new start!
Suggs - have a good time in Dublin, if I'm not too late. Enjoy a drop of the black stuff for me too - there's no better place to drink it.
Honey - I hope you get your heating sorted out soon. It's mild here, but even so, still cold without additional heating. I suppose it's lucky it happened before Christmas, as you'd be struggling to get anything done about it over the holiday period.
Kay - hi, don't worry about your night out - it's only once a year! The trick is to get back on track again as soon as you can, to limit the damage.
How is everyone getting on with their Christmas preparations? I've got a couple more small presents to buy, and I've wrapped everything else. The Christmas tree is going up this weekend, and I'll be doing my last shopping order online for delivery on Wednesday - no doubt I'll be in Tesco's next weekend, panicking because I've forgotten something that probably won't be needed anyway! :rotfl:
There will be an update this Monday for us stalwarts..!
Have a great weekend - don't get trampled at the shops.

Hello!
Was very busy yesterday and so didn't get a chance to pop on - seems everyone else was too!
Just weighed and its 1lb on! Poo!
I'm glad its just that I suppose - it could have been much worse with the trip to France and the general pigginess this week.
It's my intention to be as good as possible from now until Wednesday evening When I have my works do and then to be good from Thursday until Xmas eve when the family arrive - trying to do some damage limitation as Xmas day and Boxing day are usually a nightmare with all of the family around and being constantly cooking, washing up or comfort eating (I know I sound like a right misery but the whole family descending on my little house for 3 days really stresses me out and I always end up on the verge of a nervous breakdown only saved by wine, Baileys and chocolate!)
Anyway, off to walk the dog before it rains again
Have a good day

Morning all!
Like everyone else I guess, been too busy to get on the 'puter much over the last few days.
Rachel - wine, Baileys and chocolate sounds like a very good way to prevent a nervous breakdown to me :rotfl:
Lois I think you're right, not many of us will be in a fit state to weigh in next week, though I hope there aren't too many pounds added over the festivities
My daughter and I signed up with Costco yesterday. I've never been in there before, but I was quite impressed, specially with the Christmas food. I got a really lovely looking cooked ham for under £14 and it's plenty big enough to feed the 8 of us over the 2 days.
They had these amazing monster party poppers, which I thought were expensive at about £20, but DD had to have some . All I could think about was how much mess they'd make
I think we're going to have to make it a monthly trip in the New Year in order to make it pay for the joining fee.
Hope everyone has a successful week if you're still hunting for pressies. I'm all done now - just the fresh food to buy at the last minute!!

Evening all
Gosh, I've just realised I'm all organised for Christmas! The tree and decorations are up, all the presents are bought and wrapped, the house has had a good seeing to, so all I've got left to do is buy food. I wonder what I've forgotten... or who!
How's everyone else doing?

Evening all
Im back from the fair city, completely knackered, walked for ages both yesterday and today. Partook in the brown stuff on Friday night (I prefer Kilkenny) Found a great bar by O'Connell bridge, went in for a couple while watching the rugby, as we were finishing up the live music started, so we stayed  I managed to overdo it though, got back at 3am and had to make a call on the great white telephone once back
In my defence I hadnt eaten all day, the intention was to eat earlier on, but sort of got carried away
Saturday was shopping and walking all over Dublinthere was a food market in Temple bar which was great, huge mince pies! the sugar rush helped
Did eat last night sirloin steak! The hotel was really nice and the staff helpful.
Seems very quiet in here, hope all are busy and enjoying themselves, back on the wagon tomorrow morning, hopefully Im still good

Hi All
Another maintain this week for me. I'm going to have to try to get to the gym this week to remind myself not to overdo it over Christmas! This is always a quiet time of year in the gym I go to:D
I heard on the radio that the average person consumes 8,000 calories on Christmas Day:eek:
Consultant what is Costco?
Suggs glad your trip went ok.
Lois I'm not doing very well. I still have lots of presents to get and the tree isn't up yet. I'm off to the warehouse today to get some meat and dog food. I'm not buying the chocolates and crisps until Saturday:D
rackelmk Don't worry about 1lb. You will soon get it off again after Christmas.
Honey I hope your DD is feeling better.
My son has broken a finger playing American Football, but I think he is proud of his injury. Unfortunately, he can't play again for a while. I guess this also means that he can't wash up either.
Good luck to everyone with their WIs.
MissMPRENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
