Frankie - STEP AWAY FROM THE SCALES
:rotfl: :rotfl: joking aside Frankie, you won't do yourself any favours weighing every day. Your weight fluctuates daily and so that is why it is recommended that you weigh in once a week. I know its hard (i am also guilty of jumping on and off the scales) but do try and out them away until next week.

Well, I lost 1/2 pound. Bit annoyed but its also time off the month so in a way I am pleased its not 1/2 on. Am in hellish form today, craving chocolate and have just eaten a cadburys caramel - i enjoyed every little square of it too :o(havent even had dinner) :o

    Day one tomorrow - again!

Hi Frankie - your weight fluctuates throughout the day, and even from day to day, so it's really not a good idea to keep checking. Don't worry, we've all been there and done it ourselves, and I'm sure some of us still do! If you really can't resist checking your weight, put your scales away somewhere so they're not a constant reminder, or get someone to hide them for you. Then decide on a WEEKLY weigh in day and time, and stick to it. :)

  • well, i gained 0.6kg this week and deserved every gram. I fell off the wagon virtually every day from wednesday onwards and a lot of it was my own damn fault. Still, day one and all that. I wanted to shake things up a bit and start having porridge for breakfast but got very confused on the old healthy extras. Consultant, help!! The latest SW mag road tests several porridge sachets but nearly all of them aren't hebs on their own - you need a 'ryvita high fibre crackerbread' wiuth them. What the chuff is one of those then? I've been in 5 different supermarkets today(for work i add, not just cos i'm a sw saddo) and i've seen ryvita original, multigrain, dark rye, sesame, breaks, pumpkin, krackerbread . . . . . . . but nothing that seemed to fit the bill.

and i know it's going back a bit but Madauri, do spill about your gowns. I'm rubbish at normal girly stuff like hair and lipstick but start talking fabric and patterns and I go all pink and fluffy. I'm too scared to tackle real clothes and just do medieval but I#ve promised myself that I#ll get my act together and find a course soon.

Hi weighed myself and stayed the same this week. All my own fault though.

Seeing as I was in Boots I bought myself some scales so that I can weigh myself at home instead of trecking up to boots each week and also so that I can do it in the morning.
The scales I bought weigh in at 4 lb heavier than in boots but I will be weighing myself on these each week from now so it won't make any difference from next week.

    Cheers Alison.
  • Hi all :hello:
My 1st day was fine :) i knew it would be but you know when you just work yourself into a tiz & common sense goes out the window!
Everyone was really nice (almost as nice as you lot :rotfl: ) and the lady i am replacing is staying til xmas hols so should make things easier to learn.
Also managed to stay on track really easily today. Had my toast for brekkie, and then didnt eat til lunch time as i was so busy, then again i had no time to snack all afternoon, the plan is HM soup & a bit of toast for tea (i even said no when OH suggested takeaway :A ) after i've got DD from dancing so see you all later.

I also managed to mess up rice pudding. I followed the packet's instructions, mixed 25g of rice with 280ml of milk and dumped in loads of sweetner. Baked it at #3ish for 2 hours ish. Wasn't ready at that point so left it in a while longer, promptly forgot about it and woke up in the morning to a very hard brown substance in a bowl  but a relatively warm flat :o

The second time went better and was very tasty but are the packet instructions right? Is there a quicker way to make it? Cheers!

Hi JenI - I make rice pudding in a pan on the hob, it takes about 45 minutes, maybe less. There's a recipe for it on the lose weight recipes that only uses one HEA on green on SW, and it's lovely. :)

Hi KPC - can you let me know what your total weight loss is to date please - I change the kg into pounds and usually round it off, so I'm not completely sure what the total should be anymore!
I wanted to shake things up a bit and start having porridge for breakfast but got very confused on the old healthy extras.

I have the same problem! I can't bear all the messing about with 28g of cereal plus a whatever and usually just have porridge and count it as a HE plus a couple of syns.

However! :j - Weetabix do an instant porridge which is a HEB in its own right - it's called Weetabix Seriously Oaty Thick and Hearty.

Bored? Me? I am to be honest, but what can I do? I am sorting out my home insurance and then so other bits and pieces :)

Hmmm - be careful, you could become addicted to daytime telly! :rotfl:

That was the hardest part for DH when he had his knee op, he got so bored he was climbing the walls. We were in the process of doing the garden, and had the drive block paved so he was able to supervise the lads that did it, but with so much time on his hands he couldn't resist getting stuck in to dig out the pond

I was worred that he would set back his recovery time, but he returned to work a month earlier than expected, so it didn't do any harm.

I'm not suggesting you start digging large holes in your garden though! :rotfl:

Edit to add a ps to all, to avoid having four posts in a row! I'll be back later with this week's chart, to give people who get weighed today chance to post their weight losses.

  • Hi all

Thanks for the boot earlier in the week. My last week and a half of trying the things I shouldn't have is over and on Friday I started the WW No Points and have lost a pound.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Jeni - apparently at SW tonight they were telling them a recipe for the rice pudding

    2 cups pudding rice
    2 cups water
    sweetner
Bung in Microwave for 12 minutes. Stir in a vanilla muller light, et voila!!

Mum tried it when she got home and said it was lovely

    Hope that helps?
