  • Morning all and welcome to Frankie :D

Hope the first day is going well for Loopy, but I guess we'll know for sure tonight!!

Honey looking forward to staying in where it's cosy is a sign of old age, they say :rotfl: it works for me, but then I am old!!!!!

Flis well done on the 2lb off :T

JenIttels you made me laugh with the description of your lentil soup, then adding "but I still ate it all" - you sound like me, I hate waste and would have eaten it regardless. A really easy way to make rice pud I find, is to stick it in the slow cooker for the day......not what you could call quick, but definitely fool-proof, yummy comfort food!

Lois the summerhouse sounds lovely and the weather is still nice enough for you to get some use out of it straight away. I agree with your OH, leave it a week and it would be so much harder to remember where all the bits go - another sign of approaching senility??? :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Suggs, got those bits of fruit and veg you wanted and am cyber-shipping them to you now........................!!!

Tesco was madness today. Had to nip to Asda too cos some of the things the kids like for lunch boxes arent sold at Tesco? anyway, am home and am hungry. Bought myself a little prepacked carton of pineapple and mango so off to have that. Also bought a small prepacked thing of fresh pomegranate (sp?) which was reduced to 99p. No idea what I'm going to do with it - am thinking just have it with some yogurt. Any Ideas?

As for Dublin Hotels, well I haven't been down south in ages but am going on a hen weekend there next year. We are staying at Bewleys Ballsbridge Hotel if thats any use to you. There is a lovely place in the middle of Temple Bar called Oliver St John Gogarties. Its a bar with accommodation upstairs (S/C appts) We tried to get them but they were booked. Its meant to be lovely

Try www.ireland.ie Its the tourist board website.

Now, If you had booked to come to Belfast I could have helped you out no end and even given you a guided tour!!

Never mind Eels, remember all is not lost, your just taking the pretty route to your goal. I am sure you know where you fell of the wagon, so you an make the adjustments needed.

Salad sounds good, what type is it? I like the traditional leafs, cucumber tomato with ham or chicken :)

Mmmmmm I just had a couple of tiny baked tatties (just microwave ones but tasty nonetheless), with a big handful of mixed leaves and grated carrot (low fat dressing!) and some homemade spincy beef and bean chilli, which was actually mostly veg and very much better for being frozen and reheated.

    Filling and pretty virtuous too.

Must get back to work now, I hope you're not too bored Suggs - keep the feet up! :)

Hello, weighed myself yesterday as a starting point hopefully loose a few pounds for next week :D

Had physio for my back she offered me a sesh for exercises to help tone up but at £60 a pop its a bit difficult to know what to do.... cuz i want to get fit etc, and from my previous (all thru my childhood/adolenscence (sp?)) dancing of every type she says I am fit inside but need the outside sculpting.

Are there any good books, websites etc which are any good ... I need stretches and exercises, no jumping about (bad back needs time to heal).

    Any help much appreciated

Hello Sallywl and welcome to the thread. I'm not big on excercise so I'm sure there'll be someone with more knowledge along to help you with the proper stuff, but I do love to walk and IMO it's as good as any excercise for making you feel and look better.

You need to walk for about 30 mins a day for 4 or 5 days a week - fast enough to make you a bit breathless, but not gasping for air, lol.

Suggs, get a good book, feet up and relax with a nice cuppa! :coffee:

Off to work now, have a good day!
