where's the s/w curry recipie please I may try that. I'm not a lover of curry but my hubby is. Does anyone know if fruit compote is free. I think it was a yeo valley or sainsburys own I can't remember but I thought it may be nice with the f/f yogurt or in porriage.HOW MUCH ?0 -
i havent dared think about christmas yet. I was reading the new SW mag yesterday and I might allow myself a few 'free days' here and there but i'm going to try my hardest to stick to the diet. At least i know if i fall off the wagon it's easy to get back on. Plus, I've found with doing SW i can't binge eat like i used to too much rich stff actually makes me ill so that will help keep me restrained over christmas - last year i ate a disgusting amount of pate which i know would cripple me this year.0

Hi Alyssa_Mae
This is the curry recipe that I use - (thanks go to Consultant!)
Sweat 1 chopped onion with some garlic in a little fry light. Add a large heaped tablespoon of curry powder and some giner (although often I forget about the ginger). The recipe calls for 4 fl oz i think, of chicken or veg stock. I tend to use about 1/2-1 pint of stock and let it reduce -Add it at this stage, along with a tin of chopped tomatoes and 2 Tbsp sweetner eg canderal. Let it simmer and reduce. I remove the curry sauce and blend it - using the the pan to cook chicken, peppers onions etc and then add the sauce back in. It's really good. The sauce itself it lovely over SW chips too. gosh, I'm hungry again.0 -

I can vouch for the curry sauce, though I dont alway blend it anymore, I prefer the rustic look sometimes, also use a couple of chopped and sliced onions in it.
Honey have you tried poaching the chicken? I tend to dice it and then poach it, then add it to the sauce when reducing. I think it absorbs the flavour better.

I like it "rustic" too suggs, just depends on time whether I go for the refined look!! Havent tried poachig chicken - do you do this in a saucepan of water?
Found a single-solitary-lonely-mouthwatering-tempting-last in the box-Lindt chocolate whilst tidying up. The voices in my head made me eat it :rotfl: Oops.
Ps Meant to say ages ago Suggs, your signature could have been written for my 4 year old daughter. Its always very worrying when she smiles and lavishes you with hugs and kisses, Normally means she has been up to something!0 -

I remember seeing a recipe for carrot and Coriander soup but cant for the life of me find it. I have looked in the recipes collection - does anyone know where I can find it or does anyone have a recipe for it??
I'm thinking its just onion, carrots, fresh coriander and stock???0 -
Hi Honey
That is how I would make carrot soup I used to use Delias receipe but there is a lot of butter in that. Carrot and Tarragon Soup is also really nice. I think I would just try it and if it is tasteless just add some more spices or hebs to it.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi Honey,
i've just found this from:

Carrot and Coriander Soup
It is best to use organic carrots or those with the tops still on to get the flavour - and don't skimp on the coriander!
12 Medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
1 large handful fresh coriander
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp grated nutmeg (freshly grated is nicest)
1/4 pint semi-skimmed milk
1 1/2 pints vegetable stock
Small knob of margarine
Freshly ground black pepper/Sea Salt
Cook all the ingredients except the coriander together in a pressure cooker for half an hour (or boil until soft). Chop the coriander and add to the cooked mixture then roughly blend in a liquidiser.0 -

Anyone..? Would it help if I provided the calories etc?
