glad you had a good hols Suggs, think i should have tried some 'scrabble' me & OH were so tired at the end of the day we just collapsed in a heap (or was that the beer that made us do that  )
ok ... wait for it ... just been weighed ... 4lbs on
i know it's awful, i can account for every little ounce of it and thoroughly enjoyed myself last week ... but to be honest, i was gutted when i got on the scales, so cross with myself for undoing my good work
still today is a new day & my day 1 again :rotfl:
i've got zero point soup bubbling for my lunch tomorrow (curried aubergine) and intend to be really good next week

This clock changing lark really b*ggers up my body clock - I'm hungry when I shouldn't be, and not hungry when I should beYou wouldn't think one hour could make such a difference!
Here's the chart for this week. As usual, if there are any anomalies, please let me know.
Well done to Flis, our Slimmer of the week with an excellent loss, :T and a big well done to Jenpoptab for reaching target, having lost 26.5 pounds, a great achievement.
Have a good week everyone.

Evening all
Welcome back Suggs  pleased to hear you had a good holiday AND managed not to gain weight - so is Scrabble the new weight loss miracle?
Loopy-loo - don't beat yourself up about the weight gain, just put it down to experience - at least you had a great time while you were away. 4 pounds isn't that bad really, I've gained more than that in less time when I've really thrown caution to the wind!!
Katyk - welcome back. I used to have a Paul McKenna tape and although it was fantastic for relaxing, it didn't actually help me lose any weight though. I loved the feeling of being in deep relaxation but still awake enough to listen to his voice.
Sally - hi and welcome to the thread. If you want to join the 2 pound weight loss club just let me know. You don't have to lose 2 pounds a week by the way!
Jenpoptab - sorry to hear you weren't well.
I hope everyone is having a good week.

p.s. please can someone tell me how many syns there are in a Fair Trade Geo Bar - the chocolate and raisin variety. They're only 5% fat, so I'm hoping they're not too high. (I haven't eaten it yet though, just in case!)Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -

I have been eating microwave porridge for breakfast this week which is really helping keep hunger pangs at bay till lunch time. I have an apple tree in my garden and have been stewing the apples to put on top of the porridge to sweeten it...Yum Yum.
Hi Jollyjules - the porridge sounds yummy, it's low GI, which means that it releases energy slowly. Are you counting syns for your stewed apples? Although raw fruit is free on SW, cooked fruit and fruit juice aren't. You can have it as a healthy extra though.

Wow, busy day!
Welcome back Suggs and loopy ... glad you both had good holidays, and I'm thinking I must try some of the 'Scrabble' you mention ...
You sound more positive now rachel, I hope you're feeling cheerful
I know exactly what you mean madauri, I too suffer from evening munchies. I try and have a policy of making puddings to follow dinner when it's like this - from fruit and yoghurt to a fruit cobbler or something oaty. That seems to help, it's an extra portion of my 5 a day and as long as I make something cunningly healthy and don't go overboard I feel like I've had a treat and am less likely to snack.
I'm pleased to have seen a loss this week, but I'm finding myself having more bread again so I feel bloated at the moment. I have to cut it out for good I think, which sucks, but it really leaves me feeling sore and fat. Having said that, a wisdom tooth has been sore so Ryvita's been off the menu! Main meals have been really really HUGE 3 course homemade lunches so far this week as a client has insisited on feeding me while working, and I suspect despite 2 very active days I haven't managed to lose an ounce!
Never mind, back to Rosemary in the morning I think ...0 -
OOH,, AAAH,, OUCH
No, I'm joking really. Still have not had proper fitness assessment due to a mix-up at the gym so was just shown how to work the bikes, rowing machines, stepping machine and the one that feels a bit like skiing (technical term). Proceeded to work out on them all for just over an hour and was quite pleasantly surprised that it was not as bad as expected. Mind you, we'll see if I still feel that way in the morning. Walk home from the gym probably took up more energy - the wind was in my face and really strong. Also lashing with rain so now heading for hot bath, suitably armed with even hotter coffee.
Night folks0 -
PS I liked their scales too - either they differ slightly from RC ones or I have lost a further 2lbs in the last 3 days!!! As they are now the scales I will be using regularly, I am claiming the weight loss! (Actually, have been very good so maybe, just maybe, they are right)0

Good morning everyone.
Had a lovely class last night, not many stayed to image therapy but lots of the young Mums came for a quick weigh-in whilst having their little ones with them as they were off trick-or-treating!
We don't get them coming to the door here as we live quite far out from the village so it was great to see them all dressed up and excited.
Just seven weeks to Christmas now.............how is everyone going to deal with slimming over the festive period? Are you going to carry on being syn/calorie/point aware or are you going to say "s*d it, it's Christmas"?
I would be interested to hear what you all think - it's something we've been discussing in the group.
Welcome Sally. Don't look at your weight loss as a huge hurdle to overcome. Try to break it down into small, manageable goals of say ½ stone at a time. Promise yourself a little reward (not chocolate, lol) when you have lost 7lbs (perhaps a new lipstick or something). It's much less daunting and more 'do-able'. With determination you'll make it to your target and we'll support you all the way!
Katyk well done on your weight loss, and the exercise regime - I'm impressed :T
LoopyL 4lbs is not a bad weight gain at all (can't all be like Suggs :A ), don't worry, put it behind you and look forward to a good week this week. If you stick to your plan 100%, you may even lose the whole 4lbs straight away!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
thanks everyone for such a warm welcome
Had a physio appmnt yday, and she toldme multiple times i should lose weight, even tho it isnt that which caused the back prob nor is it impeding it.
I was Ok with it at first but then it started to grate,I know its her job etc but Im not blind i know im fat i dont like but unless she is going to tell me what else i can do to help it, repeatedly (sp?) telling me im fat is just going to make me:mad:
RANT OVER
Lois lane Yes Id like to join the 2lb a week clubs how does it work etc? except for the obv aiming to lose 2lb a week :P Might be the kick up the bum i need!0 -
Morning All. I cant believe its 1 November - where did the past 10 months go?? Had a busy weekend and past few days, thankfully the partying has now stopped. Today will be spent cleaning and tidying up from it all, a bit of R&R and some time with the kids (who want to write their letters to Santa  ) I'm back to work tomorrow
Day one with SW again, is it really 7 weeks to Christmas  OH and I are heading to London for the weekend in just over 2 weeks time so thats my next goal for losing some more pounds. The SW curry went down a treat last night with the guests, none believing it was "low fat"!! Think I will make a big pot of free soup for tonights dinner
Consultant, I dont really want to put on all the weight that I have lost over Christmas, but I also want to enjoy it. Its hard to strike a balance sometimes. My plan, at the minute, is to enjoy the meals out that we have arranged - work dinners, nights out with friends etc, but perhaps I will skip the dessert. One night of drinking and getting up early with the kids is normally enough the persuade me to drink the next time so that will also help. The plan is to enjoy the nights out but to be 100% in between.
As for dinner on Christmas Day - loads of veg with it!! Going to make free soup for starter too.
I'd be interested to hear the views of your class too0
