Morning all
Sorry I have not been around for a while just been working and enjoying a bit of free time at home. Did my Wi this morning and I stayed the same which is good considering how hard it is to be good when you are away. Take last Thursday was good only having avocado and prawn salad as a mains but then had lemon mouse which wasn't even nice. Then Friday lunch time I was in a seaside town in Essex and my collegue insisted on us having fish and chips. As you know I am not from the UK so I really do not see the attraction of Fish and chips, I mean soggy chips and more batter than fish.
I think Fish and Chip shops must be the most hopeless place to have a healthy lunch. Sorry enough ranting I am sure there are nice F&C shops out.
there.

Hello folks, Well done to the losers and maintainers so far this week. Flis, 6lb is a great start, you are only 1lb of your first half stone :T Why dont you make yourself a star chart and award yourself a star for each half stone you reach, I know it sounds a bit childish but certainly at SW class those stone and half stone awards are like receiving a share of the lottery!
Tall Girl, I didnt realise you were from UK, Where are you originally from?
The party last night was good fun too, the kids had helped bake me a birthday cake and were soooo pleased with their efforts. I ate pretty sensibly - I had a small piece of cheesecake and actually gave it to DH as it was too sweet  Weigh in is tonight, not sure if I am going to go or not (am still huffing over my 1/2 lb gain last week :rotfl: )
Have a good day everyone, Kids off school for an entire week for half term so I imagine its not going to be a peaceful day chez moi!!!0 -
Morning everyone! Sounds like you had a fab time honey - what was your fancy dress costume?
I've been doing medieval stuff for 2 years consultant. I look at pictures and portraits to get an idea of what look i'm going for, and then there's a book that I use that helps you figure out the construction and draw a pattern. It's a lot of fun, but it would be cheaper to collect gold bars as a hobby - our authentic tent cost us a small fortune last year! However, it is kinda fun taking it on 'normal' campsites.0 -
Katie, I went as Sandy from Grease, DH went as Danny.
We had sumo wrestlers, mexicans, pimps, vicars, batman x3, santa, tinkerbelle, charles and camilla, arabs to name a few. Such a laugh, I will def do fancy dress again!0 -
had the porriage for breakfast this morning I must say it was scrummy. I 've never like anything other than readybrek before. I must say i'm converted and it was so easy to make in the microwave.
well done flis21 for you huge loss. and to everyone else. I'm not holding out much hope for getting a whole star on my tree tonight after the weekend I've had. but today is a new day.
Glad you enjoyed your 30th honey. Hangovers will take much longer to get over from now on. It usually takes me a week!HOW MUCH ?0 -
quiet day on the forum today - honey you're costume sounds ace! did you go cute innocent sandy with a big poodle skirt or break your neck killer wedges?
and here's my weigh in - lost 0.4kg this week so not the best week, but not a disaster. Time to start having something different for breakfast i think, shake it up a bit. Well done to our big losers this week so far, and thank goodness i avoided that boot!0 -

Sounds like a good idea, I might go out and buy myself some special stickers this weekend and make myself a chart. Will probably hide it inside the wardrobe door tho, don't want everyone seeing it!!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Katiepc, if you want a tailored dummy for your dressmaking ask your OH to help you make one with duct tape - it's very cheap!
Been to the campus tonight. I've had quite a bad day because of some news I've had. What I really would like is to kick !!!, but since that is totally impossible, I've asked a friend to teach me to play squash. He's said yes and I've been to the sports centre at the uni to ask for info. No squash tonight, but at least I've had my share... one hour of good exercise, since I've walked all the way and the flippin' place is at the flippin' top of the flippin' hill.
Squash because I think that'll allow me to let some steam out. I can always figure out the wall is somebody...'They can tak' oour lives but they cannae tak' oour troousers!'The Nac Mac Feegle0 -
