    Welcome to Ju24 and JollyJules.

Whatever plan you follow, there'll be someone on here to help and support you when you need it or offer a friendly boot up the b*m when you need it :rotfl:

JollyJ, don't be downhearted, you've done the hardest part - admitting you need help and finding the place to get it. All you have to do now is follow the rules of the SW plan. It's often a big relief when you find out what the scales say and can start to plan to make the necessary changes. You can do it, so go, girl, go!!!

Ju24 you can't be any more computer illiterate than I was about 12 months ago, but if you keep practising you'll find it gets to be dead easy in no time - so long as no-one expects me to do anything technical, cos then I'm stuck, lol.

When my son left home (almost 3 years ago now) it took me months to learn how to set up the video recorder :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Yes please Lois. Can you add me to your Monday list. Do I give my starting weight, or do we put how much we want to lose?
    Thanks

Hi Bazz - no need to reveal your current weight unless you want to, you can just post your result each week, let me know if you want to set an interim goal.

    Welcome to the club! :)

Well it was as bad as I thought it would be - 3lbs on! In my defense I did weigh in jeans and a jumper ! But also have been a completely gluttonous pig for the past 2 weeks. It's the kick up the bum I needed - oddly I am quite motivated again to sort this out.
I made syn free leek and potato soup for tea and it was loverrrrly - have enough for tomorrows tea too.
My aim is 2lbs off for next weeks weigh in. Here's hoping!!

Congrats to jenpoptab for getting to goal - I'm green with envy as I wasn't far off and then went berserk!

Yes of course you can - welcome! :)
I'm trying to get my head arround the plan and work with what I had already bought on my shopping trip on Monday, but have managed to get through today, but have used 11 syns already, not much left over for tonight, so will try and plan better for tommorow.

I've found that the trick with Slimming World is to stick to free food as much as possible, saving your syns for treats and those little extras that make a meal a bit more palatable, like gravy, sauces, mayonnaise, etc. (not to mention a nice glass of wine ;))

It takes a little while to get to grips with it, but once you realise how much food you can eat freely, you can plan your meals. We're all here to help and advise too.

Congratulations Jenpoptab! :D You must be so pleased with yourself, you deserve to be. That means you get promoted to the target members section of the 2 pound club too :T

    Evening all!

    Firstly, WELL DONE JEN!:j

Welcome to all the newcomers  - Ju, Jolly, Flis and co, great to see new faces ... especially as I am in need of loads of motivation from all you enthusiastic newbies!

I hope your problems are nearing resolution rachel, I know how things like this can make it really difficult to persevere with anything which requires willpower. I'm sure you'll come through it OK though, you can do it.:grouphug:

I'm having a pants time of it in the mornings just now :( - it's so dark and cold and hard to get out of bed, so I'm back to the old Rosemary Conley for 20 minutes routine - TaeBo is just too much! Work has been exhausting which really hasn't helped. I'm going to just lower my expectations for the next wee while til I see if I can get fired up, and hopefully the change of clocks will help. I've eaten terribly today but I've just done some serious cardio housework! :j

Off to knock up a slow-cooker veg and beef chilli for tomorrow night ... say a prayer for me that work is more sensible tomorrow, I can't cope with another mental day! _pale_ :wall: :rotfl:
  • Well done Jen! You're an inspiration to us all. Lots of new members this week which is nice - makes me think more about what I'm doing when I see people asking questions. It's easy to get stuck in a rut and stop thinking about what you're doing.

Consultant, I posted a fab soup recipe on the recipe thread last week - a mediterranean veg tomato and smoked paprika that came out more or less free on Green and Original. It made boatloads too - I've had 8 lunch portions out of it!

Thanks guys, especially for all the positve help that I have received from this thread over the last few months, without your support i don't think I would have done as well as this. I am intending to continue to weigh in regularly and hopefully will be able to maintain. I'm a bit nervous of having 6 extra points per day though as that is an awful lot on top of the 21 i already get, however I am sure that i will find a balance that i'm happy with sometime in the next weeks and months.

    Anyway thanks again everyone.
