    Hi guys

I reached my goal today. I can now become a gold member- it's free as long as I do not go over 5lbs over goal weight. I weighed in half a pound less than goal so I lost 1lb this week, I am soooooo chuffed. I am over the moon really and she asked if i would consider becoming a leader which i said i would definitely consider but perhaps not at the minute, too busy with other things.

well done to all the other losers this week too

    :j :j WELL DONE!!:j :j

THAT'S FANTASTIC NEWS. ALWAYS SUPER TO HEAR OF SOMEONE GETTING THERE - GIVES THE REST OF US SO MUCH MORE MOTIVATION.

    Hi all,
A much better day today - stuck to the SW plan and only had 10 syns (which I didn't really need just gave in because the naughty things were staring me in the face in work)
Will try harder tomorrow - feeling much more positive.

Watched new Catherine Tate thing on BBC2 and that really helped get me in a good mood - very funny! Nan is the best - just like how I'll be in about 30 years time!!

Well done Jen! Enjoy it!

I'm back at my dancing. I expect it'll help me burn some of my pounds:rolleyes:
Plus, I am knacked after that, but really happy - it's lots of fun!

Ju, one question. When you said you'd lose 2 pounds or maintain, you meant in total or each week?

Hi madauri, the total for 8 weeks was only 2 pounds. I'd lose a pound then maintain, lose another pound maintained then somehow put the 2 pound back on again.

I've been hearing different things about how much water we should drink to keep healthy and it's confusing and there doesn't seem to be one answer as each individual's situation varies with weight, climate, level of activity, salt intake etc.

I've always drunk alot of water but realised recently when I got a SW challenge to drink 2L a day for a week that actually I was drinking much less at the weekends which might explain why i need to pee all the time when i'm drinking loads during the week :p .

I'm still not sure if drinking coffee is good or bad. I try not to go over 5 cups day (i used to drink much more! ) but have seen differing information as to whether it can be counted as your liquid consumption, or whether it means you should drink more water to compensate etc.

So, no hard and fast rules. The common information is to check out the colour of your urine (i know, how graphic!! :o ) and judge how much you're meant to drink by that!

So, your homework for this week is...:D

PS I'm seriously bored at work. You may be able to tell from the uncalled for lecture!

Thanks for adding me to the list.

I will weigh myself this monday and so I will post my *loss* the next week.

Where do I post my loss, do I PM you or just post it here?

    Thanks Alison.

This is a "quick-fix diet" and as such I really don't agree with them. Yes you can lose weight, but it doesn't teach you anything about how to enjoy food for the rest of your life and maintain a healthy weight.

A much better plan is to start a healthy eating regime which will help you lose weight whilst keeping your energy levels up and your whole body healthy. Look at some of the recipes on the recipe thread (link in post number 1) and see just what wonderful meals you can eat and still lose weight. Go the https://www.slimming-world.co.uk and look at the 7 day menu plan and see the quantities of food thatt you can eat and still lose weight. Or look on the WW site, for ideas.

Do you really want to go any other route??
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
