Fantastic advent calendar Birdie, have you wrapped everything in the little buckets?
NIM won, as you may have guessed. 24 items to 22. Still, its 22 items listed and 24 items of clothing closer to not having an ironing mountain.
For anyone stuck for Christmas present ideas I've relisted all my prints in my ebay shop for only $5 each as a clearance once these are sold I won't get more printed - that's a 66% reduction (and I do know how you love a bargain) - and it's BOGOF too. So if anyone would like some unique art for a bargain basement price, please have a look.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

DK I'd be more inclined to remove linked to expired offers rather than just mark them as expired, keeps things neater.
That's probably a very good idea. After all, the deals are no good to anyone once they've expired so it would make a lot of sense just to get rid of them then.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

I was having a look too DK and I think it looks great. I really like the picture on the home page
The only thing I would question is: who is the target group? Being honest, if I am looking for vouchers, the first place I would come is MSE. Does your friend think there is a gap in the market for a voucher website. Just curious really.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I did think that as well CMD but I didn't want to say it, there are LOADS of voucher sites out there, I always try MSE first, then google, but most of the sites are so clogged up with adverts I find them hard to use (which is something I do like about this one), but being able to search by retailer is key.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Well done NIM! Although you're not really a loser Dinah after listing 22 items!
I did wrap all the presents in the advent calendar so he can't see what he's getting, the sweets are in little tissue paper bundles tied with pretty ribbon and some of the buckets have jelly beans in the bottom as an extra treat! Today OH got a shark shaped bottle opener keyring with an led torch.... I got 2 little crystals in a bag  No idea what they're for, thought they were earrings at first but no, just crystals with a little loop to sew them onto something. Confused! Clearly asking his Mum for help was a bad idea because she's done the Mum Thing and bought weird stuff! OH just laughed and said that my presents will get better!
I like your prints Dinah but we just have nowhere to put anything like that. All of our picture worthy spots are now filled and if we got more it'd start to look cluttered... and that's before I fill the place with wedding photos!
DK, I like the look of the site but agree with the others about the expired links, search function etc. Also personally I like things like that to be short and snappy, some of its a bit wordy for me, the issue for me is that I'm usually looking at things like that when I'm at work and not really supposed to be so I like to read quick little snippets of info and get back to work, not have a load of stuff to read through and lose my place when I have to click away because someone's walked past my screen so then I have to start again! That could be just me though?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

The person that I'm working on the site with and whose idea it was is American and I don't know if they've got a version of MSE or not but if not, that might skew his way of thinking about things. I know exactly what you mean - I come to MSE to see what's new and then look for individual vouchers, codes etc. if I can't find anything here.I did think that as well CMD but I didn't want to say it, there are LOADS of voucher sites out there, I always try MSE first, then google, but most of the sites are so clogged up with adverts I find them hard to use (which is something I do like about this one), but being able to search by retailer is key.
I do the same so I get what you mean! I've made a couple of suggestions about getting less broad categories up so that people can go through say 'eating out' deals rather than scrolling through everything. I'm not sure how feasible having individual retailer categories would be on Wordpress (I'm a bit clueless really!) but I've suggested at least getting a search box up so that people can type a retailer in and see what comes up.DK, I like the look of the site but agree with the others about the expired links, search function etc. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I've been trying to get in all of the necessary info that people need to know if they want to get the deal but I didn't stop to think that it might be too much info! Just out of interest, are there any specific parts of posts that you'd rather see limited or gone altogether? I've usually got a few intro lines, how to get the deal and stuff about when it's valid until/restrictions.
Thanks again for giving the feedback everyone! It's great to get some thoughts from people who are unconnected to the site.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
Day off today and I've spent it cleaning (need to hoover in a bit) and doing some freelance stuff but not actually got round to doing what I would have been doing if I'd been at work (if that makes sense?). Really ought to as I'm on a bit of a tight deadline with this particular piece of work. Eek!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

Hey everyone, I got home from Uganda! Picked up a bit of a delay, but I was just glad we could fly considering the weather. It's crazy going from 25 degree sunshine to minus 2 snow, but it's nice to feel ultra Christmassy. I can't believe you guys have 2 feet, that's so much!
I had such a good time in Kampala but nothing beats home. I've been walking round appreciating everything today. Napping in my own bed was totally sweeeeeet and I had so many tasty things from M&S for lunch. I haven't had a cheese feast yet but planning one for the weekend. LOL cheddar from Kenya is not quite the same. It's been great to see OH.
