Not a lot of snow action here on the south coast at the mo - it's been snowing a little continuously, but not really settling. I was a bit disappointed to have to go into work today, but luckily the lunch meeting was cancelled so we all got a hot lunch!

Yay Cinny, that's so exciting that Percy will be yours soon - i don't suppose there's much that can't be fixed by a pug hug :) apart from the cost of electricity...

We've been really tight with the central heating too - it's the first winter we've had it, so we're trying not to go overboard, but it's very tempting! And it is freezing! We were going to paint our front door a festive mulberry colour, but discovered that you can't use the paint under 10 degrees and it takes 16 hours to dry - so we don't fancy leaving it open for all that time in this weather! Boo. And yes, I do know that a door is life and not just for Christmas, but it would have been pretty!

LOL Poddle! I love the idea of painting your door for Christmas!

The engineer is here looking at the boiler, yay! I hope he's being quiet because he's sorting it out and not because he's stumped! The one good thing with not having any heating for months is that our gas bill has been really cheap! We've got about £150 credit which we'll be withdrawing to spend on holiday!

How lovely that you'll have Percy soon Cinny! Looking forward to lots of photos of him!

I spent 3 hours last night trying to find my V5 form... and failed! I have a feeling it was 'tidied' by OH and ended up in the bin somehow :( This is so annoying, the reminders go to my parents house because I keep forgetting to change the address so I keep ringing them asking them to look out for my 'red letter' reminder so I can use the reference and in the mean time I'm going to have to fork out for a replacement V5! Grrrr.

Have to say heat is one thing I have to have. I know it is expensive but I can't live in a cold house. Glad you got yours back Birdie :)

Not much snow here either, bit icy though and i managed to slip about 30 secs away from my flat. Fell on my bum thankfully but got a bit upset as get so worried about baby.

Yay for heating Birdie - bet that feels good!

Cinny - i guess they will call me if it is an infection but who knows!

They gave me a back support at work today so hopefully that will help as started hurting again this afternoon grr!

Be careful on the ice Wendz! Can understand completely why you would get upset, but just watch yourself :D

I'm sure the fall won't have hurt the bump Wendz, but I think of all of us you have the best reason to call a snow day.

Went and got the new car today! She's a bit basic in terms of features, but you wouldn't know it's icy the way she hugs the road so it's all good.

Good news about the car and even better she can handle the ice!

Ooooh it was nice getting up this morning without having to hop about because it's freezing!

Snow seems to be getting worse here, how's everyone else faring? I hope the fall didn't shake you up too much Wendz, you're just teaching your bump early on not to slide about on ice, don't worry too much!

Yay to the new car Dinah! It doesn't matter about it being 'basic', wasn't there something Martin wrote about the extras not really adding much value... or did I imagine that?! It's good that it goes well in this weather too, you must feel a lot safer driving around now!

First day of advent today (well, technically it was Sunday wasn't it?), I got a little pink coat charm in my house, OH got a Lego witch in his! He's very impressed by the effort I put into his calendar which makes it all worthwhile! I'll post a picture tonight if anyone fancies seeing my handywork?

I decided that since I wasn't going to get my wedding ring from Goldsmiths I'd use my Tesco vouchers for other things so I got 2 cinema tickets that I'm going to add to my brother's Christmas present (I need to find a massive popcorn box to use as the 'hamper' box, any ideas?) and £30 vouchers for Prezzo and Pizza Express so OH and I can treat ourselves to a couple of nice meals out after Christmas... before the wedding which is creeping up on us!

We've been invited to a NYE party by the Bridezilla and we really don't want to go but not sure how to get out of it! It's a Bond theme which is even more annoying, OH has a tux but I'd have to find a costume, and considering I'm dressing up on my hen do a whole 16 days later I'm not too fussed about getting dressed up! I know they're only doing it because we're having a Christmas party... everything I/we do she has to 'better'! It's really getting on my nerves now!
