    Definitely agree about the ring!!

So glad to hear about the interview going well Birdie, big fingers crossed for you. A Temperley dress would be *amazing* Birdie, but a bit out of our price range :rotfl: I'd need to bash Pixie Geldof or one of those celebrity kids over the head at Boujis and run away with their dress or something...

Night night all - am impressed by all your moneymaking Dinah, you're leaving NIM in the shade. The notes have so many extra zeros on here. £1 is 3500 shillings. You think you're so rich holding a million shillings, it's like this big bunch of money. Sweeeet!

What's the Black Friday sale? I'm gonna have to go check it out.

I LOVE all the wedding talk and pictures! Swinstie that dress is stunning. And I love how you've got all the little details of your outfit decided Cinny! :D It sounds fab! It's so exciting that your OH is hinting! I was looking at Swinstie's dress link yesterday and OH came in and was like '!!!!!!?!' so I don't think I'll be getting a proposal anytime soon. :p I do love this dress though.

The interview sounds promising Birdie. I hope you find out soon - the waiting game is horrible.

Well done on all the ebay sales Dinah! You'll be debt-free in no time at this rate!

When is everyone putting up their Christmas tree? I know it's early but I know people that have put them up already! I'm trying to decide whether to buy a real one or not.

Gorgeous dress Zig - very vintage :)

Well I have made enough money for my coat & my top, just need to make enough for the shoes, dress and the cardigan that I am keeping :) OH has also agreed to buy me the other coat I liked (the more casual one) for Xmas. I told him it was more practical than buying me silly bits and pieces. I buying him the kindle and I told him that is it! Usually we go mad on each other but we have Max to consider this year, and also wanting the debts to go in 2011.

He still hasn't heard from that job he applied for 3 weeks ago so is going to email his friend (that works there) and ask him if he knows what is going on.

I had to ring Jobcentre Plus today to arrange a signing on interview as I am only working 1 day a week now (until the contract ends) and my maternity leave is officially over. Bit of a rant but is it a prerequisite that 90% of people working there are rude??? I worked as a Learning Disability Advice Worker and if I had spoken to the public like the way some of them there do I would have been sacked

Going and getting ours the 11th December (usually go the week earlier but dad is working), and always a real one, needs to have that authentic Christmas smell!

Damn, need to budget for a tree now! And next month need to pay my wedding hairdresser £120 (she never charged me at the time). AND buy car tax for NIMs car. Thank God we've gotten almost all the pressies as its going to be another tight month.

Zig - we will prob be putting ours up on the 5th Dec as my Mum has some of the decorations and won't see her till then.

Some people are so rude aren't they CMD! Well done on the earning money.

I just had to take my coat my Mum got me back to New Look as the buttons just kept falling off. Got vouchers back so need to find another one now but the one i liked they only had in size 16 grr.I find Oxford street a nightmare for normal sizes though, I think they sell out too quick!

I think we'll be putting our tree up around the 11th, we got too excited last year and put it up in the very first week and were a bit sick of it all by Christmas day! (Bah humbug!) I'm a bit disappointed because I'd asked my Mum to buy me the Christmas Barbie when she was away because she matches our decorations (and it's half the price there than it is over here) and she didn't get it, she bought me a Hard Rock Cafe one instead, which is very nice but I stopped getting random dolls years ago because there's no room for them, and she knows this, she claimed she couldn't find it 'anywhere' when I know for a fact that in the Mall she went shopping in there are at least 3 toy shops all with good Barbie sections! *stamps foot* Basically she couldn't be bothered to look for the only thing I asked for for Christmas and got drunk in HRC, saw the doll and bought it. I want my Christmas Barbie!!! OK.... 3 year old spoilt brat strop over.... :rotfl:

Someone posted a link to this site on the weddings board and it made me think of you Lara. There are some... different... dresses on there, but also some lovely vintagey looking wedding dresses. Like this one and this one. They're not stupidly expensive either!

Sorry about the rude people in the Jobcentre CMD, my friend was unemployed for a few months last year and he hated going to the JC because the people were awful to him, they just tarred everyone with the same brush and when he told them that he had been applying for jobs they didn't believe him and just wanted him to sign his dole form and get out. I think they're all a bit jaded by the wasters and can't recognise people who actually want work now!

That seems sensible. Me and OH aren't buying each other anything this year. I hope your OH hears some good news about the job. Have you decided about the move to Scotland yet? (Sorry if you posted about it and I missed it!)

I reckon early December seems the way forward for the tree then. I reckon we'll get a little real one. My Mum bought me a proper nice old fashioned advent calender just with the little pictures and glitter etc and I'm so excited! I might get a chocolate one too though, for old times sake ;)

Birdie I love this dress that you posted. And that rockandroll brides blog - it's so distracting! I have a cake to make! (Beetroot and chocolate from the Cook Yourself Thin book :))

:rotfl:@ your rant Birdie! I'd be the same though. :o How is all the wedding/hen party drama coming along?

Ongoing! 2 friends were kicking up a stink when the first plans were in place because they saw no point in staying in a hotel for 2 nights so they were part of the reason why I stepped in and got it changed, but because the new plans are in Leeds, where they live, they're not staying over. I see their point but it's my hen party. They're not coming to the wedding, I got the plans changed to suit them, it's costing half as much as the first plan yet they still won't stay over with the rest of us. They didn't even have the courtesy to get in touch with me and let me know, I found out when I rang the hotel to check up on who'd paid and who hadn't. I sent them a message on FB saying that I had just found out their plans and that I was disappointed as it would be nice to have them there the whole time and for them to mix with my other friends and one replied to say, 'Well we're there for everything else, sorry to disappoint' and the other said 'Yeah, it seems silly to stay in a hotel when I can walk to my flat from the city centre'... fair enough if it was a crummy hotel, but it's a really nice place for a treat and it's not that expensive for spa, drinks, bed and breakfast! Every time they've met my other friends they've pulled away and whispered to each other, they're so 'Us and Them' it's awful, it embarrasses me and I'm hurt that they're not making that little extra effort to spend the whole weekend with me. But what can I say??? :( I'm seeing some other friends at the weekend (aka Dr Barbie and Gym Barbie!) and I'm going to ask them to politely tell everyone that Blonde hair and proper 'themes' are to be expected from all hens... and that I want a pink limo! :o I'm not really this demanding, please don't think I am! I'm normally the nice one who goes along with everyone else, this is my first me me me party and I feel like I deserve what I want after all the years of doing what everyone else wants!

CMD - That's awful about the Jobcentre! I'd hate that, I don't see the point in being rude to people at all. It's no help to anyone. Any news on Scotland or your OHs job?

Sorry to hear you're still having problems with your Hen Birdie :( I understand where you're coming from wanting everyone there but maybe they have financial problems and just can't afford it? I dunno, I really hope you get it sorted. You deserve a fantastic Hen Night!!

Hope everyones had a nice day :D Been at the house all day again and it's finally coming together, I seriously think tomorrow might see all the painting done. It'll be nice if it is because that means on Sunday we can have a proper day off. And we've also kind of gained a pug.. :undecided My Sister has been trying to off load him onto us ever since we started talking about moving out, and now she's decided she's moving to LA next year *rolls eyes* So I think it's better him coming and living with people he knows, and where he'll still get to see his doggy friends, rather than her selling him to a stranger. And I do have a real soft spot for the chap :D
