Just thought this would be useful for all Mummies in waiting!

Sorry you didn't get an answer either way or the other Dinah, still hoping it's leaning in your favour. Was actually just thinking 'June's waaay off' but it's only next month

We're young and easily pleased TPA what can I say! Also, it costs £14 to go to the cinema but only £2 for some massage oil and squirty cream :D

I was so proud of myself and turns out I still didn't manage everything! Oh well, it's 10:45 and my bedtime, I'm still chuffed to bits as I've wrapped 12 parcels and FINALLY (about 2 months late!) wrote the congratulations card and wrapped the pressie for my friends baby. You can tell I'm not a mum - got her a white slightly fluffy little coat with Tigger on it - such a practical colour for a newborn!

I hope the little coat was at least 3-6 months so the lateness doesn't matter! 5 out of 6 jobs is still good going :)

I was thinking the same about June Cinny, I thought it was about 2-3 months away! I should really be more on the ball with regards to it being May and all considering it's my birthday on Sunday! Keep forgetting about it since we're not doing much, Mum and Dad are taking us for lunch and a bit of shopping (well, window shopping in my case!) and I'll be spending the evening making treats to bring to work on Monday!

Aye it was a 3-6 month coat, if it doesn't fit I hope she'll tell me as I have the receipt and can get a bigger one.

    1. Give partial ebay refunds to 2 people
    2. Send list of designs and inspirations to designer
    3. Tidy study
    4. Update signiture
    5. Call grandad

I struggled with todays list tbh! I tried to prioritise and find a big/small balance, but there were a few larger things I had to fight not to put on there as they could really do with being done. Tomorrow night my friend is over for dinner, and Friday night is very exciting as I'm going out for dinner (an event in and of its self at the moment!) with a friend I have known since I was a baby, but haven't seen much of recently as his ex thought I was a threat. So I'm really looking forward to that.

Counting down the minutes to lunchtime today, very hungry. I'd kill for a ham sandwich oddly enough, but will be good and enjoy my chicken, proscuitto and peach salad. Got my weight almost back down to where it was before easter, hoping to make some progress in a downwards direction next week.

I haven't really done much of a money update for a while, but tbh it's just sort of ticking along in the background and there hasn't been much change. We're owed at least £259 from MS companies, which will make a nice CC dent, and we're going to spend a little of that booking tickets to go back to Ireland for the weekend in June (I think fathers day weekend is looking likely). NIM is doing a canny bit of mystery shopping this weekend which will take some money away in the short term but bring more back, and while he's out I'm going to list some bits on ebay to try to match his money making. I'm still hoping to make some progress on the garden at some point too. My mini goal is to get the main CC under £3500 this month, even taking into account MS spends, car tax etc. I'd need to make about £300 in the next 3 weeks on ebay to achieve this. If we do manage it it would be amazing next month to get it under the £3000 mark as we haven't been there since the wedding.

I'm focussing a lot more on putting time into the business than listing bits and bobs on ebay lately. It just seems more important and in the long run it could be a much more enjoyable and consistant earner.

    Thanks for the link Cinny!

All sounds like it is going along the right track Dinah. Do you have a date in mind for finishing the house? Will you still put it up for sale?

Current plan is to put it up for sale, unless we haven't made enough on it in which case we'll start saving to extend the kitchen instead. We'll get it valued at any rate. I think realistically we're still about 2 months away, simply because we need time to find the money to buy the replacement fence, new floor, stove, skip, about 85 tonnes of gravel, and some plants for the gardens. Being realistic I think we still need about £2500 to finish it off. And that's excluding finishing off the bathroom to make it building regs compliant, we need that side to go through the court but we will be getting some quotes shortly.

Can't wait to see photos of it when it is finished. Did you go with wooden floors or carpets for the bedrooms in the end?

Are you enjoying doing it up or do you just want to sell now at this stage?
