The aunt in question is my god mother and I became almost a surrogate son to her after her one passed away. But yes, stupidly generous of her.
I think that's why Ireland is in such a bad recession. People are stupidly generous!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

LOL CMD, I can imagine everyone scratching their heads and asking, 'But why's the recession so bad??? Ahhhh must be the weddings!'
Ahhh shame about the rubbish soup Dinah... anything you can add to it to make it better? Or can you throw it in with something to use as a sauce instead of having to stomach it as is? At least it was only £2.50... could have been worse!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Thanks for the advice! I was planning on a cheque for £50 which feels quite generous, especially as OH has never met them! I would probably prefer to give them something for a specific event, but I agree with CMD and I'm happy to respect their wishes! It would be lovely if they did something memorable, but I imagine the whole darn thing will be pretty special!
How long are you hoping the £100 will last Dinah? I was a very unthrifty shopper yesterday and bought 2 Innocent veg pots (yummers!) as they were on offer, but still £5!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
That sounds very generous to me Poddle and I'm sure they'll be very grateful
Completely OT, has anyone got any idea how I can get my hands on those little serving dishes that spell out L-O-V-E for not too much money? I saw them all over a few months ago and now I want to get a set I can't find them! So annoying, it happens to me all the time!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Not yet (it's blocked at work, which is the only time it pops into my head to look! Something happens to my brain on the walk home that makes everything that I think of during the day fall out!). It's so frustrating as I kept seeing them in shops before, been all round the shops that I thought I saw them in and nada!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Hoping to make the £100 last at least 40 days, but I'd be chuffed to make it to 50 and exstatic to make it to 60. Don't think that's likely though as I love my fresh fruit. At lest next week is covered by the mystery shops, that should buy us another week at least!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I have seen those before but can't think where Birdie. Do supermarkets do them or somewhere like debenhams/john lewis?
£50 sounds very generous to me Poddle.
Is OH's last day off today , he is back tomorrow. We went into town earlier to do a couple of things and then we took Poppy to be weighed and she is gaining weight well which is good.0 -
That's good news about Poppy Wendz. It's a real shame your OH has to go back so soon - are you planning on taking the full year?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I am not sure at the moment. We could probably just get by the 3 months where i wouldn't get any SMP but would be tight. I would like to take the whole year off so we will have to see.0
