Thanks for the good wishes on the court case. I'm a nervous wreak and am trying to distract myself - I hope NIM is more focussed!

    Good luck for today Dinah!

That's really exciting news about trying after your honeymoon Birdie :D:D :j I think you and your Mr will make amazing parents if I'm honest.

Bad news last night, OH's Nan had a fall going into her house yesterday. When we spoke to her she sounded okay, but she does front it a lot. Sounds like she banged her head, as well as knocking her arms quite badly but she refuses to just go get checked over despite us near begging her. Really shook OH up, and he's fuming with his younger Brother as she only fell after misjudging a step trying to carry her shopping in. OH's Mum/Stepdad normally help but they were out and his younger Brother refused to get out of bed

Good news this morning though, my Cousin is getting married! It's rather fast, they decided last week and have it booked for August. I thought it was quite romantic and whirly windy until it came about that my Cousin has been offered a job at a church with a cottage, but it's frowned upon for them to live together without being married and the 'job' starts in Sept. Now it feels quite forced, as they were planning on moving in together anyways but he said last time I saw him he didn't feel at all ready for marriage :undecided Still, minds change and I'm chuffed for him! :D

Lol congrats for your cousin I guess! He must be more sure than he thought when it came down to it. Whats the job?

I was thinking about babies last night. In very simple terms it takes 9 months to grow a human. So how can it take me less time to sort out our finances?! We've bumbled about for 9 months now, the next 9 are going to be different. I worked out if we made £25 a day for the next 9 months and paid it off the debt (and didn't pay anymore onto the CCs!) we'd be debt free. Well, not really, we'd still have the car loan at 3.5% and the student loan at who knows what, but still, our day to day debt would be gone. So I'm decided, I'm clearing a debt-baby!

    LOL excellent idea Dinah!

I've been reading some baby threads this morning, God help me! So excited now that we've actually put a date in place. OH was even pointing out where all the baby stuff would go in the flat until we move to a bigger place, he's been sneakily thinking about it for ages it appears! Thanks for the tip about starting on the vitamins earlier CMD, I'll make sure I do. :)

Sorry about your OH's Nan Cinny, hope she's OK. Old folk can be a bit reticent about getting themselves checked out so keep a really close eye on her and make sure any bumps are healing well. And give OH's brother a smack! I hope this has made him see why it's important to get out of your pit and help with things when asked!

Good news for your cousin too! A friend of a friend did more or less the same thing, both sets of parents are strict Christians and refused to let them live together before they got married so they got married straight after graduating from uni and bought a house. Not exactly ideal timing but it's been nearly 4 years and they're still going strong so it all worked out in the end! The strangest situation I ever came across was a couple we met on holiday a couple of years ago, they had bought a flat together which he lived in but she paid half the bills for. She wasn't allowed to move in with him until they were engaged but he refused to propose! Think he was having his cake and eating it a bit there! I wonder if they've actually gotten married now?!

He's Vicaring I figure! He's spending a year teaching kids, then heading off to the special Vicar college (I got me some technical terms!) so he can be, what my Grandad calls, a full time Ashley. Obviously being a biblehead he wouldn't just marry her for the sake of a cottage, as long as he's happy :D

The challenge sounds fun Dinah, I'm sure you'll have no problems getting the £25. You do have the gift of pulling money out of no where! Are you going to do the £100 food challenge? We're using food as our 'cut back' point atm too.

I'm all excited for you Birdie :D It does sound like your OH has been thinking of things for a bit, I'm sure you'll have plenty of space for things though.

The idea sounds great Dinah. £25 doesn't sound too much (for you!!!) and I think you will achieve it no problem!

Sorry to hear about your OH's grandmother Cinny.
