You don't mess around do you NIM? I'm far too timid for all that confrontation. I found her e-mail (they've spelt her name really wrong so couldn't find it at first!) and sent her a nice e-mail asking if she's somehow missed all of my other messages and I'd like my dies back soon please thank you very much. If she ignores it I'll get nastier next week and go and shake my fist at her!

    Meh, why mess around?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

He's getting married on the 1st December... they're trying to shop for a Christmas wedding in Spring and wondering why it's difficult to find things! I'm helping to make invites and whatnot but I lent my fancy Christmas cutting dies which we need to a lady I worked with a couple of months ago and now we work in different offices I'm struggling to get them back! She's defriended me on Facebook and ignoring my messages, I've got other people to get in touch with her for me but no luck... grrrr. This is what I get for being nice and sharing my expensive toys, they get nicked!

How rude! I think NIM's approach isn't wrong in this instance - sounds fishy! :D

Ah, a winter wedding - how lovely! But I agree, I'd find it difficult to even think about December at this time of year, let alone find an outfit!

Also, I'm convinced it's going to be sunny FOREVER. Which is nice :)
Though we've just made a raised vegetable bed (which has got me completely overexcited) so I'm desperate for some rain!

hope you really do like the bridesmaid dresses birdie!!
NIM there will be other jobs and I'm sure its not about the tractor - at least you called them!! I've had to phone a job place once saying "ill be 5 minutes, I've jut got a bit lost" CRINGE!!

I've done that too Tink, although I was about 20 minutes late and told them off for being in a silly location when I finally arrived! I still got the job offer though, but I turned it down as money was rubbish!

Have you had any rain Poddle? We got a little yesterday and today and I thought of you wanting it for your veggies!

SIL2B bought the bridesmaid dresses yesterday, it makes me look like the token fattie (compared to other 2 size 8 bridesmaids!) and the shape isn't right for me (baggy on the waist and bust, tight on the hips...) but I did as I was told and kept my mouth shut, said it looked very nice and what a good choice she'd made blah blah blah. It's what she wants though so I'm happy to go along with it, it's only 1 day! :) I had such a bad Saturday though; first I found that a charm that OH had bought me when we were away as a wedding gift had fallen off the fastening and was lost (it was a little Larimar flip flop, can't be replaced unless we go back to the Dominican :() then I got dragged round Newcastle to get a dress that makes me look awful, I didn't get properly fed (a sin in my book!), then when I got home I took OH out for a curry that I couldn't really afford and it was absolutely rubbish, we told the waiter and he said, 'Oh was it bland tonight? Have you been here before?' what's that supposed to mean?! He didn't even sound sorry! Grrr. We've been there before but we won't be going back! Today I just stayed in and finished a book that I've been struggling with for weeks, now I've started Room and I'm hoping I get through it quicker than the last book!

What a cr*ppy Saturday! Sounds like you did a good job of grinning and bearing it with the BM dress - you deserved a good meal after that! But a real shame about your charm :( Maybe you will have to go back? :D Hope you enjoyed today though.

Our veggies did get quite a lot of rain (thanks for thinking of us!) over the last couple of nights but it's been nice and bright during the day. Though I was working yesterday and didn't get to enjoy it. It does mean I get to take next Friday off (I'm already missing those long weekends!) and I have an interview for an internship which is exciting, yet scary as it would mean I have to quit my job

Am back on WW, trying out the new 'Pro Points' system so I'm quite in the mood for change so we'll see what happens!

Hope everyone else has had a good weekend :)

You are far more tolerant than me Birdie. Fair play to you! What colours are the dresses? Does the colour suit you?

Poddle - what sector is the internship in? Is it a complete departure from what you usually do?

I had a nice weekend with OH and Max and got my hair cut and highlighted today. I hadn't had it done since December  so needless to say it looks way better! I also bought a lovely maternity dress and white skinny maternity jeans which look lovely on and should see me through my holiday and the summer!

This is the dress, I don't think any of us will photograph well in it TBH as it makes us look a bit sallow but the Bride is adamant that she wanted that colour despite all of us (Mums included) trying to convince her to choose a deeper colour! We actually all fell in love with this dress a few weeks ago but it wasn't available in the 'right' gold (but it looks amazing in plum, blue or red!) so it's more of a disappointment! But it's not up to us to choose what we wear.

That is exciting about the internship Poddle, hope the interview goes well!

Yay to getting your hair cut and coloured CMD, it makes a massive difference doesn't it? I haven't had mine cut for months and I feel so raggedy, I need a good 3-4" lopped off but never seem to have the cash to get it done!

A bit of shopping and pampering sounds lovely CMD - keep you feeling like a yummy mummy! :D

The internship will be in publishing, which is what I used to do (before I was made redundant) so I shouldn't *need* to get experience, but it's super competitive out there!

Morning all. Or afternoon. Mondays confuse me.

We've had a very busy weekend tearing up the front garden. 2 people, 1.5 days, and about half the garden is cleared and turned over. Hoping the weather holds so we can finish it off this weekend. The soil is pretty much solid clay though - you can make sculptures out of it - so I'm not sure if anything will actually grow.

On the Memory Girls thread an idea was touted of making £100 last as long as you can for groceries. I'm really tempted to try this, could do with cutting down a bit.

Court case tomorrow, my insomniac tendancies have paid off, we came up with a really strong arguement I hadn't even realised until the other night, so I'm confident we're in a decent position to argue our corner.
