Nice easy one tonight. Lots of nice sorting but not much actual moving! Which is good as I'm so stiff from the gardening. On the plus side I tried running today on my knee, only about 200m but it didn't give out, which I found very positive.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Court case? Casting mind back.... is this the problem with the builder?
Well done on getting so far with the garden! Very impressive. My parent's old house had really clay-y soil and stuff grew OK, just put some decent topsoil down and look to grow hardy plants!
Had a chat with OH last night about our little baby scare and turns out he was really disappointed that he's not going to be a Daddy any time soon! So... we're going to start not-properly-trying-but-having-a-go after the honeymoon! Excited but scared!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I knew there was no way the two of you would be waiting a few more years!
When's the honeymoon again? I don't really get the not trying not protecting thing, maybe I'm dense but surely if you're not protecting you ARE trying! But then I see these threads from women who are checking mucus and temperatures and the position of their cervix and I realise it is possible to go WAY more in depth than just enjoying a few fumbles!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Aw that's lovely. I am getting all broody. Good thing I am pregnant! It is the waiting to start bit that is the most nerve wracking. When you actually get down to the nitty gritty it's not that bad!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

LOL! Honeymoon is at the end of September so when we get back I'm going to come off the pill, start taking folic acid (is that right???) a couple of months before that and see what happens for 6 months or so before taking it a little more seriously. The whole trying-but-not comes from not having a clue about ovulation dates and body temperatures and whatever else, that's all a little too much to think about right now!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I am not too sure about the NTNP thing either. I think I am an 'all or nothing' person!!!
Not gone on the whole 'checking of the cervix' thing either, it makes me feel slightly queasy if I'm honest. However, charts and temperatures I did enjoy (I'm a weirdo in that way!!!) but I don't any of you young ones need to be getting into that at all! Just enjoy a few glasses of wine and the rest. Ha ha!
What is the court case Dinah? is it the builder? How is the house coming along?Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

If I was you I would consider taking the folic acid from about June to get lots into your system - 12 weeks before is recommended and then the first 12 weeks. I wasn't taking it for this baby as it was a surprise but started taking it as soon as I knew I was pregnant. With Max I think I took it about 6 months beforehand.
All the experts reckon the best way to get pregnant is to have sex 2-3 times a week all through your cycle as you will catch the egg somewhere along the way. There are ovulation sticks that you can wee on that let you know when you are just about to ovulate.
I ovulate late (day 19) so if I didn't know what and was just aiming to try from day 10-14 for example, I could have been trying for ages and ages.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yep court case is the builder. He says we still owe him about £2k, we say his work is shoddy and needs redoing.
Probably TMI, but why does everywhere suggest doing it no more than every 2 days when trying to conceive? I don't like the idea of cutting back to try for the baby, surely you cut back once it's born and you're shattered!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I think the whole cutting back thing theory is that if the man saves himself for 2 days the sperm will be better quality and stronger.
I think people should go for what they feel comfortable with (if that is every day fair play!!!) as that will feel normal and then they won't put any undue pressure on themselves.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
