I'm sure you've reminded her very well NIM!
LOL at your witty moment Cinny!
You still did well with your list considering you had company Dinah. Have you been baking any tasty treats recently?
I need ideas from you girls; I'm throwing a surprise Bridal Shower for my friend in 2 weeks (as long as her Mum and I can agree on an available date!) and I'm planning a Royal Tea Party themed do (mainly because I found an amazingly cute free download set from here and her name begins with a K so I can even use those bits!) so planning on cake and cava (no champagne sadly, I'm not made of money!), asking everyone to come dressed in their best and wearing their crown jewels. I want to do silly games rather than it just being a booze up so I've come up with the toilet paper dress contest (of course), design the wedding dress (where one person draws the head, folds the paper over, next person draws the torso and so on. We'd play it all the time when we were little and used to love the funny pictures we'd get!), pin the bouquet on the bride or plant the smacker on the groom. Anything else I can do? I'm so excited about it, I love throwing a party!

Another game is where everyone gets into teams and designs a wedding dress made out of newspaper. The bride picks the best dress. That is good fun and creative.
The other one I played was where you got into groups and you got a list of things to search for in your handbags. There were points allocated for lipstick, wipes etc. So each group used all their handbags.
And my personal favourite is a quiz about their other half and making them drink a shot of cava for every wrong answer!
I had my 20 week scan yesterday. It was amazing and the sonographer was so nice. He spent about 1/2 an hour going through everything with us. The baby was having a mini-disco in there and then yawning after it so I think we have a live wire! Max was always asleep so it was great to see such action. The face looked quite feminine (from what we could see) but the side profile looked like the exact same as Max's so only time will tell!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks for the ideas CMD! I never thought about making newspaper dresses, just toilet paper ones. Hmmm... which one to go for?! I'll have to ask the groom to find out if he's been asked already about the quiz, she's having her hen weekend next week so someone might have already planned one, the reason I'm throwing the shower is so that everyone who couldn't go on the (far too expensive for most of us) hen weekend can still show her that they care.
How exciting about the scan, I hope you told Max that he was a lazy bump compared to his brother/sister!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Glad the 20 week scan went well - that's the important one isn't it? Is the gender of this one remaining a suprise too?
Thats such a sweet idea Birdie, she's lucky to have a friend like you. I'll put my thinking cap on, see what I can think of.
No baking since that easter fridge cake, trying not to tempt myself with too many treats so focussing on cooking nice main meals instead. Treated us to a small rotisserie chicken last night, Did the three of us for dinner, a portion for my lunch as a stir fry with veggies, and still enough for one maybe two omlettes tomorrow. And I'll make stock from the bones. After gaining 3lbs in 4 days I'm determined to start being good again.

...and they said no. Apparently everything they liked went against me in the end. They didnt want to shoe horn me into a role that didn't fit, and decided it wasnt worth it for them to create a role for me. And I can't help wondering if that bloody tractor hadn't been in my way on the way down and I'd made it on time would that have swung it for me? So I'll be spending the rest of the day beating myself up.
Hows everyone else doing? This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

Thanks Dinah. Yes, this was the important scan and everything was normal and looking great (in so much as they can tell at these scans). My placenta is in the right position etc etc.
