My OH Paul comes to visit on Sunday, I'm just wishing away the days until then. I'm *so* excited!
I'd be excited too! How long is he there for? A week?
Maybe you could try a sort of chignon with your hair? Not that I'd have a clue how to do one!

I'd love to be able to do something nice with my hair. Although I love the scarf, I think there is a time and a place! I have one of those hats that go over your ears and have a bobble and strings etc and it's pink and stripy. I love it, but I wouldn't wear it to anything remotely formal/important/where I need to look mature. I think a mix of stuff is good; don't get rid of everything 'young'!

I haven't seen Back to the Future either, OH is gonna take me to see it soon cuz apparantly it's on at the cinema or something. Cinny I def agree that you need to see the Snowman though! Will you be spending Christmas together or with your own families? Me and OH are house-sitting for my Dad this Xmas but we're still going to our own houses for Christmas Day.

Poddle what a nightmare! I so hope you hear back soon and it's good news!

I'm still ill and it sucks. I'm surrounded by tissues. Hope everyone gets better soon!

Sorry, massive post! Cinny you like Boss Orange don't you? OOTW in Boots this week :D

Sorry you're still ill Zig, I'm still a bit snotty but not quite properly ill yet, although after the gym last night I feel so sore all over, it hurt to drive!

Those prices are ridiculous! I was gonna look into getting some tickets for me and my Mum until I saw how much they were :o

You're hardcore going to the gym when you're coming down with something!

Tete, my cake didn't go brilliantly. :( It looked ok, not very well risen but ok. But it was really heavy. Not as heavy as it looked mind, but still pretty damn heavy for a sponge! The only thing I can think of is that I used melted butter not softened as I was rushing to get it done in time for the Apprentice. :o Would this make a difference do you think?

It looks hideous I know, but all the filling squished out the side. :o And it was cut really badly! DSC03183.jpgDSC03180.jpg

Birdie - You're busy tryna get Take That tickets, it's acceptable to forget your own name in times like that! :D But Happy Anniversary! My Mum asked if I wanted to go to see them, but I don't like the fact Robbie is back. Blergh.

I *think* we're going to OHs in the morning and staying for dinner, then going to mine later on for the specials and pudding :D Hope you're feeling better soon!

Is The Snowman really that good? I tried watching it one year but it was boring, didn't make it to the end and I so hate that squarking 'Walking in the air' song :o Ooh, I sound like a right Scrooge! I was a Christmas Vacation, Muppets Christmas Carol and Olive, the Other Reindeer kid.

I think The Snowman is special to those who grew up with it, like a lot of things! You've just got to accept that it's a nice gentle 30 minute show with no talking, just music. I always quite liked it, but preferred Father Christmas (by the same bloke) that was always on afterwards! When I was little the thought of Father Christmas on holiday was hilarious!

How can you not like the fact that Robbie's back Cinny? That's why I wanted to see them! We're not going now, OH said for those prices he wanted to be on stage with them!

I think it's part of Christmas tradition! And that sounds like a good plan :) I was thinking me and OH might have a nice special kind of Christmas breakfast seeings as we're on our own for the first time, before we go off to our own families. I'm so excited! :D Can't wait to do our own tree!

OH got really upset with me last year because I decorated the tree without him! I didn't mean to, I got the tree out to see what it was like then one thing led to another and he came home to find a fully fancified tree! I did leave the star off for him to put on though!

This year we've got OH's family on Christmas Eve for lunch, then we'll be going to theirs on Christmas morning to do presents then through to my parents for lunch and no doubt they'll keep us there for hours and hours so OH gets grumpy, and I can't even drink because they live 30mins away! I love my family but I wish they were more like OH's side sometimes in that they get sick of each other after a couple of hours and go their separate ways, my parents love having their 'babies' round and never let us leave! I think next year we'll offer to have everyone at ours so OH at least has his sofa at hand and I can drink for once!

Oooh and Zig, Gary's my favourite too! Definitely not Mark, bad boy!

Zig I was actually just thinking that your cake looked *radically tasty*! Can't believe you think it turned out bad?! Yes OH is coming for a whole week - wooohooo! Only 2 more sleeps until he comes :T and only 5 weeks left here now in total. I was supposed to come back here for January and February but lots of people have been saying the elections will be problematic, so I am postponing until April.
