Have a lovely week Tete, hope you win the CDWM!

I like your new furniture Cinny! There's nothing wrong with feeling a little broody, only you can know if you're rushing it all or not. OH and I were talking about our little family plans last night over a bottle of red wine... then a second-oops! It's so nice and exciting making plans and not talking in the 'maybe, someday, perhaps in the distant future...' way that we used to!

That car dealer sounds a bit dodgy Dinah, think you were wise to walk away!

I get where you're all coming from but I didn't mean I was going to jump the baby batter and have a kid next Tuesday :rotfl: Just feeling a little broody after looking at all the cute baby stuff.

We only had one set of Trick or Treaters too, but we're more of a 'leave it to the Americans' family so they didn't get anything :o I just watched Willy Wonka and a youtube special. The thrills :D Enjoy your holiday Tete!

We didn't get any trick or treaters nor were we execting any with being in a flat, I used to love getting them when I lived in a more child friendly place! I normally get really into the spirit of Halloween but this year we did nothing special at all, the spookiest we got was eating the special Halloween edition Natural Confectionary Co. gummy sweeties! I didn't even watch any spooky movies, I spent yesterday wrapped up feeling full of cold and watching Mad Men on the laptop... I now want to live in 1960's New York!

We were really un-Halloweeny and didn't do anything spooky at all. Although last night I had the girls over and we made that Grasshopper pie - it was a like a mint choc chip cheese cake (without cheese) and very green! We didn't get any Trick or Treaters and I wouldn't have answered the door anyway - bah hambug!

I'm totally hooked on Mad Men, it's so brilliantly done. I watched the last episode of season 4 at the weekend and I'm gutted that I won't have a Don Draper fix for at least 9 months!

Yay exciting that you've picked all your furniture and stuff Cinny - are you moved in yet?

Dinah, that's quite a small to-do list for you! Especially if you take off all the pumpkin-related item :D

I didn't get the job. Boo. It was a very tough decision, blah blah blah, and I was very close second... but it doesn't help really - second place doesn't get you anywhere!

Ah well, onwards and upwards :(

I've only just started to watch it; watched 6 episodes of series 1 yesterday, I've been meaning to watch it for ages but never got round to it, hooked now and gutted I waited this long to get into it! It is brilliantly made, could have actually been made in the 60s, love the clothes, the drinking and smoking and the language!

Sorry you didn't get the job, it really does suck when they say you 'nearly' got it! Have you applied for any more?

Sorry you didn't get the job Poddle.

We didn't have any trick or treaters either, we live in a flat again though.

Have a lovely week in the lakes Tete!

I am back at work, and stuck back in.

Thanks girls. I'm trying to apply for one job a week to keep up momentum! It really is frustrating when you're so close and then back to square one! I do still feel fortunate to have a job, but it's not what I want to do and I turn 29 soon and it worries that me that I'm still not back on my career path. Sorry, will stop grumbling now!

Birdie, have you applied for either (or both) of those internal jobs yet?

Did you enjoy the rest of your birthday week Wendz? I love stretching it out :)

I applied for both jobs on Friday, after all that worrying about what to say about applying for both I didn't even have to write anything because we've got a (stupid) new system for internal applications now where you fill in a little form online and attach your CV. It doesn't even e-mail you a confirmation that the right person has received the application! The closing date is Thursday so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the applications landed and someone is interested in me!

Off to a class at the gym tonight called Hips, Bums and Tums, I don't know if this a Stupid Thing as I've just started to be able to straighten my arms without squeaking in pain from Thursday's gym visit, I don't want to be in more pain tomorrow! No pain no gain I suppose....

Good luck Birdie, will keep fingers crossed!
No pain no gain indeed! Are you on a tough pre-wedding exercise regime?

    Thank you!

I'm trying to get into a pre-wedding regime, not so sure about the tough part yet! I've joined the gym and I have to go to 2 classes a week to make it worth it which is Hips etc on Monday and spinning on Wednesday and I'll try to fit in at least one gym visit too. I think that once I get into it and start finding it a little easier (i.e. not wanting to die after 15mins!) I'll up it a bit more. I really want my jiggly bits toning up!
