Sorry to repeat my question but does anyone have an answer to post number 47. Thank you to anyone who knows the answer to this one.
What if I have problems using the online application form?
If you’re unable to use the online application process, we can send you an application form in the post. Please call 0845 600 5581 to request a copy. Alternatively download an Online Saver application form (PDF 91KB).
If that link doesn't work, it's here -

Well its finally gone in, appearing today but dated yesterday. This was a BACS request I placed from the Post office savings site to my nominated account (Nat west) last Saturday.0

I must say I'm not very impressed with the management of this account, so far. My posted information arrived well after the suggested date (ironic given this is a Post Office account!) and a telephone call (to an 0845, premium rate number - and I don't care what rip-off phone companies like call them!) took 20 minutes to handle.
Now I find I can't transfer money into my account and yet another call has resulted n the usual 'it's a computer glitch, we're working on it' response.
I'm not sure it is a computer glitch, but we'll see. Either way, I've already moved money destined for this account elsewhere and if they can't get their act together they won't get any of the rest. Banks need to understand that consumers need confidence in their systems - particularly where accounts are being run online.0 -
I'm not impressed either. I received my security number this morning so logged into the account, which was fine. One of the options given is to change your security number, so I figured that would be a good idea. I tried a few times but it kept telling me the current security number I was entering was incorrect. So I logged out, and tried logging in again, but it would no longer let me in.
Gave them a call and was told that you couldn't change the security number online (so why give the option then?), and that because I'd got the number wrong 3 times I had been locked out (why didn't it tell me that on screen) and that a new security number had been automatically mailed to me (why didn't it tell me that?).
It's not looking good.Stompa0 -

Agreed, very frustrating. 0845 numbers are a a licence to obtain money by deception. ie. long recorded messages, musak, 'all our operators are busy taking calls' etc. The seconds and minutes tick away at our cost. I used the free number 0800 1694955. Ignore the many options. Eventually you get a human who seems able to deal with any enquiry at their cost!0 -
I had no problem changing the security number but the button to make a debit card deposit doesn't work. Has anyone tried depositing via Faster Payment or BACS?0

[1] Provided you saved/printed your sortcode/account no. given to you during the application process, you can credit your account by BACS before getting either your Password or User ID.
[2] As suggested elsewhere, if you phone 0800 1694955 - press no buttons until you get message re. 'application in progress' and then ask nicely, the person who answers will take you through some security and give you your User ID on the phone which will give you online access.
I have done both the above and been able to see cash in my account within 5 working days of my application.
The BACS payment I made from my cahoot account on Monday was showing on Wednesday and the second one I made on Wednesday is showing today.".....where it is corrupt, purge it....."0 -
