  • I've just applied and experienced two problems. Firstly the aforementioned inability as an existing customer to edit my birthplace and therefore get past page 1 of the application. I solved this by applying as a new customer which is not the best way of doing it but an adequate workaround for me. The second problem I haven't cracked yet. On completion of the process I am informed I have to download and print off a signiture verification form. When I clicked on this though the site crashed and booted me out. I have been unable to find the form elsewhere and can't get back to the page to download it from without re-applying, something I am not going to do. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know where I can get hold of a blank copy of the signature form?

    That probably won't work because the signature form has a unique reference number and barcode. Probably best to ring them to ask for one to be posted to you.
  • It gives me no confidence in investing is this account.

    It is somewhat worrying.

    Although they have little in the way of decent saving products, at least HSBC have supplied me with a savvy little unique code generator for login purposes. In comparison, the PO account must be one of the most insecure login procedures for any online financial service.

    To the previous poster, you can print off an application form online, which I did yesterday.
  • I too didn't print off a signature form at the time and so was unable to find the page later.
    As I thought they needed it for my applicatgion, I rang them. They have told me that my user id/security no. is in the post to me regardless. Once I am able to access my account, I can then go into 'amend details' section & should find a signature form there 'to print off when I can'.
    They don't seem to be too worried about the signature form at all!

    Yes, the advisor is correct. I just double checked, after log in, under "Other" on the left hand panel, there is an option of Signature form, click on it, the form is there.

    Has anyone been sent a 8 digit user ID yet? they imply they sent it during 'the last few days' in the letter providing my 6 digit security number.

    It isn't the account number or sort code, user number or reference, I have tried all these.

    Don't I hate all the numbers! :mad::mad::mad:

    I've had the confirmation of set up letter and a few days later the security number letter arrived but still no sign of the user ID.

    Post Office letters obviously aren't given priority treatment in the mail!
  • For me molly_mandy, I had the confirmation letter, then the user ID letter and then the security number arriving. Mostly within a day of each other.
  • Well, still no sign of User ID letter in the mail this morning so I rang their freephone & a very helpful lady gave me my User ID over the phone.
    So I'm up and running :j
