And don't forget the thousands upon thousands of motorists who have ignored these demands and nothing has happened to them. What have you got to say about that Messrs Arthur and Terry ?What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

You can argue the numbers til the cows come home, but as far as I'm aware there have been about 15 PPC losses over the last 18 months, 4 wins and one appeal underway. 27 stayed OPC cases will be heard in the next few weeks.
Plus two cases of PPCs being sued - £250 against OPC (and some minor costs against them when they lose), and £1000 against UKPAO.
OPC state 25 victories, many of which I'm assuming are undefended default judgments going by their tactics.
At the end of the day though, it's all about recovering money. It's damn hard to get someone to pay even when you have a CCJ against them - I know. Plenty of people will be happy having a CCJ on their record for 6 years. I certainly wouldn't be fussed considering I already have a mortgage and loans go through a relative.0 -
And from your Quoted Thomas case.
Judge Ackroyd
"The vehicle in question, the registration number of which I have given, parked in contravention of that notice because there was no authorisation or permit for the parking of the vehicle. Mr Stephen James Thomas, the defendant, is the registered keeper of the vehicle but as such he cannot be liable"
And,
"There is common acceptance that the defendant, Mr Thomas, is the registered keeper. It is his case that he denies being the driver of the vehicle on the day in question and if I accept that evidence, then that is the end of the case."
It is believed the bundle that Perky presented had print outs from a forum that Stephen Thomas had admitted to being the driver that was why he lost.0 -

One of the "group" of OPC cases is being heard today, I believe. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

You want more detail form the CCJs I mentioned earlier:
Thomas 28/10/2008 Claim No 8QT03984 Judge Ackroyd
Gladwell 01/07/09 Claim No 9QT15658 Judge Ellery
So two cases won, which still doesn't mean a ccj was issued, which means probably settled within 28 days, but come on terry there are 850k tickets issued last year according to the times, and ppcs must have issued more than 5m of them in total, yet you come up with 2 cases, just 2 cases! Now that must mean there is a 0.0000000001 chance of a ppc taking you to court and winning.
Think I know what I will do if I get a ticket again!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Don't forget taffy056 that the PPCs use a different counting system to us mere mortals. For instance, when we know that the actual material loss suffered by the landowner is a few pence, that's translated in PPC land into £100. Similarly two supposed CCJs suddenly become hundreds in their numbering system. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

The goal posts keep moving. I posted some detail of two CCJs which kills the argument about there never being a successful case, now you want more. Well I do have more, but what's the point if you refuse to acknowledge a CCJ is a CCJ.
esmerobbo, the Judge's comments are just that, the outcome is the acid test.A stitch in time means you can't afford a new one.0 -
However his comments contradict what most of the PPC,s spout about the RK,s being responsible. Arguing if a CCJ is or is not a CCJ is side stepping the issue, if it was so easy then assuming the 800.000 plus requests last year to DVLA for RK details and if only 10% where taken to county court and won. Where are the 80,000 CCJ,s0

No you haven't listed two cases with ccj's, all you have done is listed two cases won by the ppc, if the judgement is not paid within a set number of days then a ccj is listed for 6 years as mentioned above!
And the cases listed on certain ppc's website is not proof of a ccj, or proof of a case won, they are simply there to intimidate people to pay, so in fact should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
As for the other cases, come on list them, with dates, which court and what judge sat these cases, also with 70% of tickets not paid on average you should be able list thousands of cases won by various ppcs, or at least a 100 from yours, come on give us proof!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. They keep saying they have more but never come up with them, they always trot out the same old ones.(Sorry two)I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
