When and if the clamp bill is passed I'm sure the loss in revenue will be made up with even more diligent pursuit of payment from people wilfully breaking the contract conditions they agree to before entering a carpark.

How are the PPC's going to pursue these driver's if you don't know their identity? They only know the name of the registered keeper. And how do you know they have "agreed" to the "rules" before they have entered the car-park? Just by driving past a small sign doesn't form a binding contract.

And Peter, how do you feel about UKCPS being booted of that car-park in Oldham for "aggressive ticketing and harassment of customers." Do you still think you work for an "ethical company"?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • I hope the Peter you are referring to is not me or I'll get the boys around, I'll clamp you and then send lots of very legal bits of paper.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

No, Peter Haswell, the "office manager" at UKCPS who I suspect is Messrs Arthur and Terry . See my posting above

Would someone like Terry & Arthur pay a private parking ticket if they received one in a competitors car park or would they ignore it...

That's MR Terry and MR Arthur if you please.:D

No they would abide by the rules and not chance a ticket. By now, thanks to the stirling effort of the PPCs, everyone in the UK knows they should park between the lines, don't overstay their welcome and pay to use someone else's hard earned patch of dirt. This is a win situation for retailers who rely on traffic flow, parking capacity and legitimate customers using their facilities.

Anyone paid the money and received copies of the CCJs that everyone recites chapter and verse, but never seen?

" as a matter of fact I'm actually on holidays sunning myself on a beachfront"

Christ you must have exciting holidays whats up no trains to spot out there??
  • i don't participate much in the parking forum, just mainly read.
i have read all this thread and must say Messrs Arthur and Terry doesn't do himself any favours. there is nothing here that would make me want to rush out and pay a ticket received from a private parking firm, in fact quite the opposite.

so i guess my question to Messrs Arthur and Terry is why do u come on these forums at all?
