Slight warm water everytime. Modern windscreens don't crack.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Old recordable cd's or anything by Daniel O'Donnel work well as well.

    Not a good idea!

I tried it once and puked all over the bonnet.

Pan of hot water, run until the water is as hot as it gets, then poured over the windscreen.

..then call Gavin from Autoglass to replace your badly cracked windscreen.

Has anyone on this forum ever had a cracked windscreen from pouring hot water onto a frozen windscreen ??

    Personally - I scrape with a good screen scraper. Don't like de-icer.

I use a fan heater on an extension lead from my garage, stick it in the car on the arm rest between the seats, go off to make my lunch and enjoy a cup of tea before setting off to work ;)
I used to do that. It also means the car is nice and warm when you get into it.

I used to do it in my Triumph Vitesse:D.

Meh! Land Rover have been fitting heated windscreens since about 1960. My 1972 Range Rover has one.

    Ford don't have the monopoly.
