Personally, i go out 5 minutes earlier, get the car going incl the demister, to warm the windscreen, if its not ready by the time i want to go just some cold water, (because the windscreen in warm, it wont freeze again.
(use your second key to lock the car while its on the drive though.)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

How about putting a cover over your windscreen the night before.0

My hubby and son put a bath sheet over the screen and they just pull it off in the morning.Works a treat, never failed yet.0

Boiling water?.....That was a joke, honest, lol!
I tend just to put the demister on with the engine running and/or use deicer when necessary!
BTW, just in case anybody wants to boil their kettle, dont!0 -
I just pour warm water on the windscreen.0
