Anyone had Strawberry Laser Lipo?

Hi - so yes i am a first time user to this site, but after reading all the conflicting views of the ilipo, and not knowing what to believe, i thought i would share my experience in the hope of giving others an insight. (i chose this site to post on as it seems to be the only one i can find with unbiased reviews). I originally had a look on here as my second session is approaching and i was wanting to find out if typically any results are seen at that point.
I bought 6 sessions for £199, and had my first session on Saturday (28th). The experience was on the whole very pleasant and relaxing, and i went to the gym and did 35 mins of cardio afterwards as recommended (less relaxing!). I have followed the diet plan which was given to me...it esentially says cut out the cr*p, eat more lean meat, veg etc.
I am yet to see any results, but my second session is tomorrow evening, so i shall see then if i have lost any inches.
As i had read a number of reviews prior to booking the ilipo, and decided to go through with it anyway, on my first visit i was careful to remember my posture/stance etc to make sure the measurements would be accurate each time. Additionally, they did measure down from my forehead and mark on my stomach the points at which they were measuring (still can't wash the pen off!), so it looks like they too try to keep the measurements accurate.
I will aim to post after each session - results being good or bad - in the hope of being of some use (although i suppose results will vary from person to person)...as most of the people on here who said they will tell us how they get along, never actually got back to us. (please bear in mind that tomorrow's appointment is in the evening after work, and if i have to go the the gym after, i will most likely post on Weds am... but i will be back!)0 -
Just had my second session- not a lot to report as I wasn't weighed or measured! Also, this session only lasted 10 minutes, with them just placing the pads on one side for ten minutes and finishing there, as opposed to changing the pads over for another 10 minutes on the other side as before. They were rather busy and I was in a rush myself so didn't get the chance to get more info, but session 3 is on Friday so will see if the same happens then l guess! As I have not been weighed or measured I can't give results as yet, and I am yet to visually notice a change.0

I also had this treatment and agree that THIS TREATMENT DOES NOT WORK!!! I too went along and was measured for my first session and noted they weren't pulling the measuring tape tight, therefore "adding" a few inches on. After my treatment, they measured again, this time, pulling the tape a little tighter. And lo and behold, I had "lost" an inch! They then proceeded to bully me into purchasing the rest of the course, as I had bought a groupon deal.
They also advised I should hit the gym and do an hour of cardiovascular work for an hour and to combine this with healthy eating to get the best result.
I did this and continued on with the treatments. But I got suspicious as my "weight-loss" was huge after the first 3 sessions, yet my clothes didn't feel any looser. So I complained and they said that the proof was in the measurements. I told them that they were pulling the tape really tight on measuring me after, so much so, my skin felt as if it was seeping down over the tape. So I continued on and let them measure me after each treatment. Which I was receiving every 2-3 days. I then went straight home after the treatment and got my mum to measure me...and guess what?! They had lied about how many inches I had lost! In fact, the whole 5 inches I had apparently lost turned out to be about an inch in total. It was the biggest waste of money, so to prove it to myself, I waited a month until I was back to my Pre-laser weight and took my measurements. I then went on the same diet and did the hour at the gym every 2-3 days. After the same amount of time, I had lost an inch again. So all in all, it was the diet and gym that lost the weight, NOT the laser! So don't waste your money, and be wary of the positive comments, because all beauty therapists will say it works, and for those who the treatment appeared to work for, maybe they should try the diet and gym on its own to see if they get the same result. Laser sucks!0 -
Girl at work had it done. She came back being told she lost 5 inches off her waist, 2 inch off her backside and 3 inches off her hips.
I an honestly tell you, they lied.
If she hadn't of pointed it out that she had done it, nobody would of known.0 -
Leeloo23, it sounds like you went to one of the "cowboy" operators I was referring to! Achieving no results and then trying to hard sell you on buying more treatments seems to be a repeating trend I've heard from people who buy the Groupon / Wahanda / etc. deals! Ask yourself this before you buy those deals, "If they're any good, why are they so desperate for business that they have to run a Groupon deal?".
If you've ever looked at what it costs a business to run a Groupon or other deal site offer, you'll know what I mean. They receive often less than 50% of the money you pay and almost no-one who buys Groupon deals will EVER buy more treatments at the normal price, so there is no upsell. In short, the benefit to the business running the deal is ZERO. I've heard of loads of businesses that have even gone bust due to the cash flow issues caused by running the offers!
I think it's unfair to tarnish the whole treatment / industry as you had a bad experience. As I and many of my friends have gone to experienced operators and it DEFINITELY DOES WORK, significantly moreso than when I was just exercising. As I've said before, though, to all of you only buying these treatments on the Groupon / etc. deal sites, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Finally, as I understand it, the dietary changes aren't so much to help the inch loss during the treatments, it's an attempt to change your eating habits so the inches will STAY OFF after the course.0 -
So I have now just had my 5th session... Nothing to report from the 3rd and 4th as I was not measured in either session...so it was just the standard 20mins with the laser packs. In my penultimate session I had a different woman to normal, who was very helpful and precise. She decided to measure me after the session so we could see how im getting on. I felt that her measurements were accurate and the tape was not pulled tight, but just rested properly around my stomach. The results were that I had lost about 5cm each on two measurements, ad about 2cm on one measurement. From her reaction I would say that she expected better and checked I was doing te cardio after the sessions (which I have been). She asked how I felt about the loss and if I had noticed it and I said that to be honest, I haven't noticed anything! Will crack on with my last session next week as planned, but not expecting any miracles!0

Hi Everyone.
I have had all 6 treatments and allow me to tell you it's done naff all.
Please don't pay a lot of money for this.
I've followed the rules had 3 sessions 2 weeks apart a month gap because they couldn't fit me in and 3 more treatments 2 weeks apart.
The woman doing it was trying to convince me it worked by pointing out one of her clients lost 5inches off her target area and that maybe the reason I hadn't changed was because I had nothing to lose.
So I stood up and showed my love handles mushroom over my untight trousers.
So she advised me some exercises that would help.
Great. I'll just head to the gym instead then lol
Ive got to be honest. Looking back I think the 1st session lasted longer or was more intense because I remember getting up my lower back hurting like a !!!!! and time had passed. They said I lost 2inches between my 1st and 2nd session and boyfriend said I felt firmer.
The other 5 sessions I was in n out in 20mins. I have a feeling it was rushed and maybe not done properly0 -
Hi all, im new to this but thought i would give you all a few facts about strawberry laser lipo.
as a fully qualified and fully insured laser lipo technician i can tell you that it does work!! there are many factors to consider when looking at this treatment, diet, excercise, medical conditions etc! My clients all vary in age, weight, and they all have different lifestyles!!
With this treatment you MUST do 30-40 mins of cardio exercise after each session you have, as the machine breaks down the fat and exercise will burn it off, ridding it from your body! You should have 2 sessions a week over a 4 week period, ideally 8 sessions in any one area, your therapist should be measuring you before and after EACH session if this is not the case you MUST tell them them you want this service ( although a good therapist will do this without question!) drinking lots of water helps with this treatment too as it helps your body get rid of the fat and of course a well balanced diet helps! many people think that this treatment is a miracle cure which of course it is not (shame, but true!)
i read a comment earlier about people thinking they can eat what they like and just 'zap' the fat away, so many people think that this is the case!! of course eating a load of fatty, fried, unhealthy food is no good for you and using a bit of common sense will tell you that!
all in all this treatment is a very good way at speeding up the process of losing those 'hard to shift' areas of your body if it is done correctly and used with common sense!!
it is disappointing to hear about these 'cowboy' therapists out there who are spoiling the experience and wasting people's money!!
each client is individual and inch loss results are variable, but if your therapist knows what they are doing and can explain the process in detail for you as well as giving you the best advice on how to use this treatment ie, diet and exercise then STRAWBERRY LASER LIPO DOES GENUINELY WORK!!!!
i havent come on here to say how wonderful it is, but to give you my opinion and hopefully this will help some people!!0 -
Annie2410, I absolutely agree. I know it works, as I've had it done, as have several of my friends. It is the TECHNICIAN providing the treatment that makes the difference.
As I've said before, if you buy it cheap, you should expect a substandard service, as the provider obviously isn't good enough to be busy without running a (often loss making) cheap deal!0 -
I had 8 sessions on my tummy area, normally cannot shift it off this area. I lost 4 inches off the fattest part of my belly.0
