After having my 4th session thought i'd add my 2pence!

Yeah, honestly, I can see a difference, on the tape measure and on the scales - purposely haven't done anything different (eaten the same etc as normal) so I can't put any weightloss down to diet or whatever.

It's not true that you put it back on when you eat something (ridiculous) But they say if you eat lots of fatty foods right afterwards then it is a waste of money and time as the fat will go straight to the empty deposits they just got rid of! Which makes sense as if you worked off some weight at the gym, then went home and ate a massive chocolate cake - then you're just putting it back on! Pointless.

My skin is tighter, stomach firmer, lost 2 inches so far and about 4/5 pounds. Looking to have at least another 4 sessions, then may posts my own thread with before/after pics as doing well so far.

I think it would be good for people that aren't just after an 'easy' fix.

You can't have a maccy Ds then think it's ok to go and just 'zap' away the fat. Still think you need to work hard, exercise, diet - and this just helps you along the way with a bit of toning and getting rid of 'stubborn' fat.

Oh, also was told by the consultant lady to drink loads and loads of water afterwards to help get rid of the fat - just a little tip!

*edit* Actually think I had something different - as it wasn't with pads and a belt it was with a hand held thing... looked kinda like a mircophone? Was a groupon deal though - something called ultrasound weight loss I think! But it's all the same or very similar at least.
  • I have seen all the offers and thought I would look into how it works and ended up reading this thread. I cannot believe that the NHS would spend thousands of pounds on gastric band/bypass operations if they could buy some laser machines.
  • Hi I joined because I wanted to give you a real opinion.
I have a group on voucher for 6 sessions of laser lipo - not sure if it's the strawberry one.
Anyway let me tell you of the experience so far.
I lay down for about 45mins and got massaged by 3 different instruments for around 15 mins a time I think. They don't hurt but can be uncomfortable for 1st min - one is hot and scratchy!
I'm having my love handles done. They have taken a measurement of my waist - quite loosely tho ;) and booked my other sessions.- so far had one session and in my opinion no improvement however my boyfriend said he could tell (That was 1 week later. Tho I have been cutting down on my nom nom's and also used a vibro machine at the gym other than that I do no exercise and eat normally).
It really relaxing tho and a pleasant experience even if it just just a massge at the end

p.s my lower back hurt like a b**** after but maybe thats cause i was lying on my tum and I have awful posture lol
  • Hello again.
I had my 2nd session this week - it lasted 20 minutes.
They have measured my hips again and apparently I have lost 2 inches.

I think I will start measuring myself at home lol

I'm not overweight but I do have love handles that need toning but so far I can tell no difference. My clothes fit exactly the same.

4 more sessions to go! Then we will see :)

    p.s.
I think the whole water thing is to do with people who suffer from water retention - if you have a steady intake of 8 glasses of water over the course of the day it helps with the bloating - it dilutes the amount of sodium in the body and increases the amount of water flushed out by the body.
So then people having laser lipo who are just puffy with water retention will be like "wow it works!" - that's my opinion anyway

The Sheffield deal is expensive, Im having 4 sessions for £69 and I can get it this price for anyone who can travel to Kenilworth for treatment. The only side effects Ive had are very vivid dreams the night after Ive had the treatment -otherwise its pain free and not dangerous. Its so comfortable I could actually fall asleep, Im just hoping it does work!! Ive had 2 so far and will probably book more sessions. **Bizzy li, thats the old laser lipo, not the new one!! She should have upgraded and shouldnt be using old apparatus. The new one is like a long belt with bright lights on and she just wraps it round you, its a lovely warm feeling.

Hello, Well I have a strawberry laser lipo machine (thought I would point that out) It does work, I have my own facebook page that I leave open to ladies & gents to leave their feedback, good or bad (all good so far) I have also posted before and after pictures on there so the results can be seen. I have had to stop treating 2 people but this was due to conditions that stop the treatment working, thyroid problems and people that have Bowel conditions.if you want to find me on facebook type in inchlosslaser. • 3rd session.
I haven't lost anymore inches lol
    same experience as 2nd.
I don't think there has been any/much improvement. Maybe I'm a little firmer but I still mushroom over low waist trousers (which is a shame 'cause my !!!! n tum are great lol).
3 sessions to go. I don't really hold much hope that it works.
Romany Star I hope your treatment works for you - please let us all know.
  • i didn't go for it in the end, i lost faith in what i read on here. hope it has worked out for other people who've tried.
  • Thought I'd add my bit to this thread...

I paid a big whack for a course of 8 Strawberry laser lipo sessions (5 or 6 x 10 minute bursts, moving the laser blocks around the target area) followed by endomology massage (like a vacuum cleaner that rolls the fat around for 1/2 hour). A session on the power plate afterwards (10 mins). This was for my stomach and love handles. (I'm someone who does a lot of moderate sport but am short and have never rid myself of my post baby bulges. NOT EVER. Low carb diets helped a little but always left the main bulges.)

The combination of lipo and massage worked for me. It was expensive and time consuming though - 2 sessions a week (2 hours in all) - I lost just short of 3 inches on one of the lines around my stomach and one inch on each of the other two. I had photos taken. It is definitely me in the photos (sadly) and they are different. My family agree it has made a difference. I lost 2kg.

    1. It was only towards the last sessions that I noticed any difference. (The Russian speaking practitioner – very good, never tried a big sell – told me "You haf very resistant ffat")
    2. The rippling in the fat was much much less, the love handles way reduced. I suddenly had a waist. The fat was very much softer.

I am now having a go on the thighs - 3rd session in. A bit more complicated because there is some muscle there unlike the tummy. I have the impression the fat is more visible now than before but am holding judgement until it is finished. Clearly I cant expect to lose as much on the thigh and bum area.

I was advised to exercise and drink lots of water. As I said, I already do a fair bit of exercise in a week, but have added in 5-10 mins on an exercise bike and a few sit ups a day. Nothing too strenuous.

I do not think this will work without the exercise and careful lifestyle, but it has helped me for now. Whether it reverts again will be up to me, I think.

Very expensive though, but hey - nothing else worked.
    Good luck.
  • I've had several courses of laser lipo from different providers, each using different machines. It seems to me that as a technology the science is sound and the treatments definitely DO work, but the inidividual results depend on a couple of things :-

    1) Whether you commit to the treatments

Like any weight or fat loss technology, the fat has to go somewhere. Surgical solutions physcially remove it, chemical solutions generally send it out in your stools (with some not so nice consequences....), laser lipo needs you to burn it off with exercise. Exercise alone won't get at the fat deposits anywhere near as quickly or comprehensively. Also, reading into the technology and biological processes involved, you MUST stick to regular twice weekly treatments, or you definitely won't get the best results. One of my courses I stuck to this religiously and the results were great, but another course was broken up by work commitments and the results were about half as good.

    2) How good is the person treating you?

There are now loads of people out there offering laser lipo. Whilst I'm sure the machines all work in pretty much the same way (lasers working at a certain frequency and wavelength), the people applying the technology vary greatly. Look (or ask to see) examples of results they have obtained themselves! Don't accept the manufacturer's standard before and after photos, look for ones you haven't seen elsewhere, those are usually examples of the practitioner's own results.

    3) Are your expectations realistic?

The "expected results" stated on websites vary greatly. This is generally because different people seem to respond very differently to the treatments. If you commit (and for the amount of money you are spending, you'd be daft not to!), my experience is that you should achieve between 6 and 12 inches across 3-4 measurements around your stomach in a course of 8 treatments. If you're a woman expecting to go from a size 18 to a size 10 in 8 treatments, you'll be disappointed! Dropping a couple of dress sizes in a course of 8 treatments (as long as you commit) should be achievable, though. I went down a couple of trouser sizes during a course, which I was happy with. One final point, although you do get some change in measurements at the first treatment, don't expect to actually be able to see it. In my experience, I could feel the difference in about 3-4 treatments and visibly detect a change after 6.

I hope this helps those of you left wondering about whether Laser Lipo works or not. There are a lot of places out there offering cheap trial treatments and free consultations, so why not go and speak to them? It worked for me! :)
