Morrisons - wrongly accused of theft and no apology after 3 months!

Absolutely right tbw, nothing wrong with a bit of common courtesy.
Receiving a letter from the store would also bring closure to what may have been a rather stressful time fo the op.0 -
I agree that you should get a written apology if that's what you want.
But there is nothing anywhere to say that they have to do so. So if they don't want to, there's not much you can do.
Escilate your concerns as high up as you can. But at some stage you may be better off just bowing out of this one. It's up to you.0 -

Saying that I think Morrisons should have sent a letter conveying their apology but taking further action is a bit strong. I note a 'long letter' was sent requesting an apology straight after the incident...0 -
Well if the OP feels so strongly, they should maybe contact local press. The might write a small piece on it.
That would probably shake Morrisons in doing something.0 -

Quick dears, the paper boys are on the way with the orange juices. Put on the unhappy face and let us all be celebs for our 10 mins of fame and think of the fortunes it will bring to our house.

I'm really sorry, but is it me, or is some of the Brits turning American here? You got your verbal apology, get over it. Personally its rather childish making this out to be some tragic horror story. Give Judge Judy a call. After all, you even said it was just a "tale"..
Can't you just get over it without making it such a big deal. Would you want a written apology from me if I suspected you of passing wind in my presence?Only Linux make is possible!0 -

Yes. I'm afraid it is you! The original incident could have been 'got over' fairly quickly. Unfortunately the blind ignorance and lies by Morrisons caused the escalation - Morrisons need to re-address their CS training and ensure that their managers do actually do what they are instructed to do and don't lie about it!!! Nobody expects things to always be perfect with no errors but common courtesy is surely a reasonable expectation ?ELITE 5:2

they have already offered courtesy by apologising ..
That should be closure enough should it not? no one died . No one got in trouble it was an innocent mistake.. Things happen. .life moves on .. some of you need to get a grip on real life."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

I agree
But if they do that they can't chase some compo! There is no reasoning with compo chasers they will always find and angle that to them justifies a freebie0
