Morrisons - wrongly accused of theft and no apology after 3 months!

I really don't think the OP is interested in putting a case together, all she wants is for the apology to be put in writing, which is not asking for much is it?
Whatever her reasons for wanting a written apology, its the very least she deserves after what occurred, through no fault of her own.
I never thought writing a simple letter of apology would take over 15 weeks for a company to master, its no wonder they had difficulty in sticking to the promise of phoning her back.
Completely agree. Good manners dictates that when a mistake is made, an apology should be given.
Perhaps my expectations as to manners, courtesy and etiquette are set higher than others on here.0 -

First word in the post I referred to was "Sorry" - often used to mean an apology. So whether you think it was offered or necessary is irrelevant.
But honestly there was no need for anyone to apologise to me - especially in writing.0 -
Well I know if I had the police at my door, even if I had done nothing wrong, I would be stressed, not to mention embarrased. The neighbours round here would have a field day! Everyone copes with different situations differently with regards to mental strength. We dont all have skins as thick as leather you know!
the neighbours wouldnt know what you had done so you could have lied if asked by them why the police were at your door,0 -

The OP has had an apology, albeit not the "right" kind.
TBH if I wanted a written apology I would have been a lot more pro-active in seeking one before a period of over 3 months had elapsed.0 -

It is not at all unreasonable to expect Morissons Head Office to write to OP saying sorry. If you think it is, then, again, it may be that my expectations as to professionalism and courtesy are misplaced.
Personally, I would take this further.0 -

Absolutely - "Yeah, the Police were around the other day. It wasn't over the theft of a tenners worth of petrol which I didn't actually pinch. It's about the 14 bodies I buried under the patio. They get all funny like that."
Watch the 'For Sale' signs go up the following morning.0 -

The OP does not want Head Office to write.
As I stated had I been in the position of wanting a written apology I would have pursued the matter with a greater degree of urgency than the OP, rather than issuing meaningless threats.0
